Great, I can't wait for another unfocused split storyline!I wouldn’t count out going to Garlamald yet, at the first fanfest they said we were taking the fight to the empire and they showed Solus in the artwork this weekend, I have a feeling part of this will be on the first shard and the other part in Garlamald like how half of Stormblood was split between the Far East and ala mghio
Dont forget rushed.
For me, it felt like "Ala Mhigo and Doma were under Garlean controll for 20 Years...but now the WOL is here, lets get this done in 30 Minutes, because I ordered Pizza.".
Eureka itself is not the Problem. The Problem is how the Devs forced their new Diadem #3 into the Game, by locking the Relic, Hairstyles, Mounts, Songs, Minions, etc. behind it.
And we all know, that with 5.0 nobody will enter old Eureka it at any moment. Because the Devs bury it together with everything else of the old Content.
You can still do the Arr and HW Relic, but if you did not finish this Weapon or did not play the Game at that moment, you are just screwer over by the Devs.
And if somebody would even want to do it...have fun doing the whole grind absolutly alone or maybe with 1-2 other Players.
If it would occupy the same amount of Content like the POTD or HoH nobody would complain about it.
People are mad, because it feels like the Devs just pumped all those things into Eureka, behind RNG Lootboxes. Just to make Players play their new Skinner Box.

Do you also get upset because there are mounts "locked" behind savage raid boss fights?
We don't know this yet. People are just assuming things here. For all we know we might be able to go in unsynced. I'm expecting more nerfs in 5.xAnd we all know, that with 5.0 nobody will enter old Eureka it at any moment. Because the Devs bury it together with everything else of the old Content.

Not really. I never felt like they implemented those Mounts to make Players start raiding. This was done by lowering the difficutly...which from my View made just a small fraction of the Playerbase happy, while the Raiders now often feel underchallenged and all the people they hoped to jump on the Raid Train did not jump onto it. It worked for a few Weeks, when the first Omega Tier came out, but now...all those Players went back to "Nah, I do not care for Savage.".
What makes me feel this way about Eureka is, that Diadem #1 and nobody played it. Then we got Diadem#2 and Yoshi got his Shitstorm for the 280 Weapon hidden behind RNG. It did not work. And now für Diadem #3 he punched even more inside of it.
It feels like Yoshi believes that if he puts a larger Carrot on the Stick everybody will love it.
I rarely saw Players say "I dislike Savage a lot, but I play it for the Mount and the Weapon.".
But in Eureka we had dozens of Player being AFK till the NM appeared and then fight for a few Minutes and go back AFK. Something that tells me, that there is a high chance that they do not enjoy this Content.
Maybe I would feel less like that way if there would be less Eureka in Stormblood and it would not feel like Yoshida can't drop the Idea of the Diadem.
Mostly because I feel he spend to much time with the Idea and now is unable to drop it for his own good and tries to fix it over and over and over again, trying to make it work and a big thing in FF14.
I have met some Devs on Cons who told me about being obsessed with an Idea for a Game and how hard it gets to drop it, when you have spend to much time with it. And how sometimes another Person of the Team needs to drag you out of this Idea.
I would not really blame him in a bad way, but I think he needs someone being super honest with his Ideas. Not to hurt him, but to stop not spending to much time with an Idea. Like the Gauges in SB, some are great and some feel straight useless, by just replacing a simple Buff for a Gauge.
When people told me about 11, they told me how the Devs tried new Stuff and if the Players did not like it, they made something different instead.
I just can't remember the waves of praise for the Diadem anywhere...perhaps I missed that Parade.
But Eureka does not feel like people explained FF11 to me. It felt like somebody explained FF11 to me in 10 Mnutes and then I try to explain FF11 in 3 Minutes for the 14 Devs.
People assume those things based on how the Devs always handled old Content in the last Years..."just throw it in the Trash".
This is how it was always handled and if we learned one thing in the last Years it is: They always follow their formula. So they will also throw this one in the Trash.
They did not adjust the POTD to make it work with Lvl 70 Classes so now every Class feels broken while playing it.
