Right now, except for Ragnarok, every server is full.
Maybe it will change in the next days, maybe not.
Quite a few Linkshells have a few members on one server and the rest on another server.

Everyone is complaining, but all I ever see is "I'm not moving to Ragnarok, it's for those EU people, eww."
Well, if everyone who wants to leave their server and all those split-up Linkshells moved to Ragnarok though, it wouldn't be an "only-EU" server, you know?
There would be several players from all kinds of timezones to play with and Ragnarok would be a server like any other server

Also, it would open up spaces on other servers, giving more people the chance to actually move to the server the originally wanted to move to, you or your linkshell(as a whole!)as well.
And even if you get the short end of the stick and stay on Ragnarok, it wouldn't be bad because lots of people from your timezone would be stuck on Ragnarok as well

Maybe you won't take me seriously since I'm from Europe and moving to Ragnarok anyways, but at least in my opinion it's a better solution for everyone than being seperated from your friends and LS or staying behind on a server you really wanted to leave

You COULD, but that begs the question: We know that most of the space is being taken by accounts not being used, and we all know there is way more space on these servers than they have it capped at, so why the hell should we have to camp this at all? Day three of it being completely full, what a joke.

I may just take you up on that. Trying to get myself and 2 friends to Masamune to meet up with our XI peeps has been a joke so far.

People crying like little girls about something most people know very little about is what got us here to begin with. I shudder to think what a second time would get us. To be fair though, I don't even blame the forums for this one. If SE had told us this was how it would be before just saying ok and doing it, I think a lot of people would have rethought option 4. I dunno, maybe not. I just know the current situation is another awsome example of SE shitting on the heads of the people that support them. This Galka is very bummed.

Umm they've already said this before. Inactive accounts are not counted towards the total. They are automatically checking incoming players to each server while manually updating the outgoings so they can keep an eye on the population. While it is inconvenient, around midnight EST on weekdays seem to be the time when all the servers open up.

Aye true, however there is a limit to how many characters can physically be stored on the server inactive or not. And with people having many unused alts, inactive characters, and peeps just waiting on 2.0 they have to compensate for both them and potential newcomers in October. If they didn't take this into consideration when they made their goal numbers for the servers, you run a chance that players would surpass the servers limits and at best newcomers wouldn't be able to join, returning players would either have to move or give up altogether, and alts couldn't be reactivated/created. In a worse case scenario the server crashes, and SE would be forced to temporarily move players to different servers until they could set up another world merge (Which could take months) or potentially eff over inactive players waiting on 2.0 and ditch them on another server.

Another potential scenario is the server would not let more than a set number of people on at a given time, by which you'd be screwing lots of people over because as it is some peeps never log, and others might never log because they think they'll never be able to get back online again. I'd think some might ragequit if they had to wait for hours to just play the game that they're paying for, and I'm sure you'd think its unacceptable if you ended up being one of those people.

In any case it sounds more like you'd be screwing yourself over more than just staying on your original server with your linkshell, or moving over to Ragnarok which relatively empty. I can understand if your originally from a different server and just wanting to move on to a server with your RL friends, but unless it's that it just sounds like folks are being needlessly fickle about moving to Ragnarok.

I doubt that's going to work now AFTER their plan was already put into action partially.
You can now either camp the application page like Rhylee said and hope to get lucky or start considering the solution in the OP.
