The dancer girl in the reveal trailer is wearing flat shoes. :v No heel. Literally unplayable. What's stranger still though is that in the job art she's wearing cha cha heels.
what's going on here?![]()

They aren't really digigrade is all.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Well, I didn't expect them to remodel every single footwear in the game to accommodate to their feet, but the actual question would be how do their bare feet look like (probably normal, which would be disappointing)
Don't see a lot of heels in this tactics advance art. at least not in the sense that you are thinking. Looks like they are wearing regular shoes, some with heels to me. There are 1 or 2 standing on their toes, but tis not the majority.

They really specifically stated in the slide that each of the new races has a unique head, they didn't say anything else was unique, just the heads. In short they modeled viera on the same hyur body they use for for elezan, hyur, au ra, and miqo'te. Rhonso, because honestly who is going to call it hrothgar, are using the roe body model. This was likely done to avoid having to change most models from the neck down, they simply have to adjust the scale. So viera heels will probably be restricted to just their race outfit. The only things likely specifically modled for either race will be helms.
In case people missed it in all the other threads it has been shown before that viera don't always wear heels in the games but most usually do.
Also digitigrade means that they would always walk on their toes and rest in mid walk on their toes, without the support of heels. A high heel supports a heel that will otherwise make contact with the ground, and elevates it so their toes are closer to the ground than their heel. Being actually digitigrade like a cat or a dog and wearing high heels would just interfere with walking.
They've said there are a lot of customization options so we can excitedly wait to find out what they've done. The reveal trailer showed heels, the dancer trailer didn't. Maybe one or the other was a mockup with a mistake, maybe heels will be optional like /visor, maybe some gear will have heels and some wont, maybe it will be a clan option, maybe per job. We will just have to find out soon or in a few months.
This pic of the collectable figurine shows that Fran is really plaigrade, just with really high heels.

The Hrothgar/Ronso also have normal feet even though FFX Ronso clearly do not.
yes the picture you show above is something different with the shoes or high heels confusing ppl she has high heels on and in the CG or dancer showcase she has babets or sandals whatever they are 1 more point for being dissapionted =.= SHAME ON YOU FF14 Team
