When you kneejerk threaten to quit over not getting a *cosmetic* option, you come off as impossible to please. Look at the difference between posts/threads about the healer announcement, and compare them to the male viera supporter threads. There's an immense difference. Healer players are generally expressing disappointment and unhappiness, and not mincing their words, but for the most part the healer community isn't running around screaming to get what they want (a cosmetic option). And yet they (we) have far more right to do so.

And yet people are raging about not getting their cosmetic option. Why would anyone feel like you can be pleased if that's how you behave? Calm down, chill out, articulate your arguments. You don't need to hold back, but you're just making yourselves look worse and making me personally more and more glad you didn't get what you wanted.

Now I'll be over here, feeling sad and expressing my disapproval over the healer announcement.

I'm going to unsub but for totally different reasons anyway ("cough" eureka in 5.0 "cough"). I didn't care about the viera or the bara beasts to begin with.

BUT I do want to say this is ridiculous, unsubbing because one specific gender of a race wasn't confirmed and while I can understand people wanting it, I can't really put myself into thinking this is a good reason. It's stretching it to put it simple term, especially when I'd be more concerned about the expansion itself (5.0 will be just like 3.0 and 4.0, probably less dungeon because of eureka 2.0/Diadem 4.0 and its return in all its total crappiness...yeah I would be more concerned about those but that's another topic)

So..."shrug" if people are so easily prone to unsub because a specific GENDER of a race was not announced, maybe they should indeed unsub: this reason is just too...stupid.

There are better and more important reasons to be upset: this is simply not one of those reasons.

tbh i see more post complaining about people unsubbing vs people threaten. I have seen a few but way more of the former.

This game has had a stale content cycle since 2.0. We've gotten less content as time went on (3 dungeons per cycle) so they can work on content that fell flat on it's face (Eureka). The events have been awful for the past year or so. If this is what makes them unsub from a game, then they probably didn't enjoy the game for what it was to begin with.

Basically this ^ the content of this game and how its released is not going to change but it took races to do it huh.


Also.. Using unsubbing as a weapon isn't going to work for a few reasons. We are currently in Expansion Territory now, and expansion do one thing.. Bring in new players. So for every person unsubbing there's going to be a new player to replace you. The # of people leaving the game would have to be so Substantial to the point that new blood can't replace the loses for any of this to matter. Also x2.. as long as WoW keeps screwing up for some players and XIV is taking them on, that's not going to help either.


Either way, everything is now set in stone and everyone keeps forgetting it takes them 1 full year to develop one new race and 1 new job (probably part of the reason BLU is an unfinished job but who knows). So healer mains are now going to have to wait 4 years total for something new & nothing is going to happen until 6.0. Believe me.. At this point I want to be surprised and I WANT to be wrong but I just gotta be real with myself on this.
