New races but no new character slots

In many other MMOs, when the developer releases new races they make more character slots available so players can try out those races without having to sacrifice their current characters. Not everyone wants to fantasia their main. When I want to try new races, I make alts, because my characters are based on characters I roleplay outside of the game, and none of them are shapeshifters.

It would be really nice to have the option to get more character slots. It would also be another good revenue stream for SE, since it would be an additional amount per month. But I and I'm sure many other altaholics would pay it so we could try out these new races.

You get 8 slots per server, with a total cap of 40.

How much do you need of them, seriously? 3, maybe 4 when you bounce between servers?
Besides that, each of them has to truck through the story again and that I think that is mostly the reason people don't alt that much.

You could buy a skip for your alt if you really wanted to. Or just play the story again. I enjoy doing that on mine when it's been a while. I've played through the story an additional 7 times now, to different points.

I don't bounce between servers. I play on one. And I'm just bummed there isn't an option to get more slots so I can try new races without sacrificing a character I've put time and effort into establishing a certain way. 8 is also the bare minimum in most MMOs for character slots these days, too. Games often provide new slots for free, or allow them to be added for an additional monthly fee. Which would be a reasonable requirement here.

Gotta tell you here chief but you're probably in the extreme minority
i'd be VERY surprised if you average player had more than two characters on a server

Run a second account, then. Definitely saves you the trouble and possibly is cheaper: 1.0 had you pay 3$ extra per character per month over the free cap.

Keep in mind that we're also getting the world visit system. You could create a new charater on a different server in the same DC and visit your main server.

In case you do not know you have one item called Fantasia if you do not mind sacrifice one of your alts to become one of the new races. : )
