Had just been a 3rd clan for Miqote? They are both cats...
Highlanders are just more beefy Midlanders... Couldn't Hrothgar just been a more beefy version of Keeps and Seekers?
Also is it just me or are they using the same model as Roegadyn?

I'm guessing they want Hrothgar to have more lore and be more exciting as a new race rather than a new clan. The facial features are also drastically different not to mention the physical proportions. Making Hrothgar a clan of Roe would make more sense, not that it makes much in the first place.
The only positive inkling of hope for the future that I'm taking away from this right now is that they specifically said that Hrothgar are called Ronso on the First...
So now there is a direct link to Blitzball... I want my stupid Blitzball even if it's just a team manager simulator... as long as I can still watch the games being played by the NPCs.
Oh no way, please! It will be embarassing enough for Miqo'te to stand next to those things and have everyone around suspect a common ancestor or something. Sharing enough DNA to be considered the same race would be just... ugh! I'd sooner accept traces of the Fatter Cat in our genome.
Maybe Varis is right after all...
I suspect they can’t add “third subraces” of anything - it’s probably just a “yes/no” setting and they’d have to rebuild their character programming to change it.
But yes, they look very much like they took a Roegadyn model and put it in Miqo’te stance.
Literally every single time someone says Hrothgar I immediately think of this guy:
The Danish king from Beowulf lol... Why did they use that name? I wonder if there is some connection? Or did they pick it because it sounds cool?
