They never said that these races weren't ever going to be finished. They've accomplished a lot and they work really hard. They are more than aware of people's distaste for gender-locks. I'm sure they don't feel great for leaving them half finished for now. But a compromise was made to add variety. Moreover lets not behave like beasts they never promised male viera.

Be thankful be supportive! Unsubbing won't help them make your dreams come true.

Edit: we are very lucky to have a dev team that actually listens to the fanbase. Voice your concerns politely and be patient

It would be a different kind of whine. I really dislike female Au Ra so I just don't fantasia into them, but I can't fault them for its creation because it's there, and rightly so. I don't like the way male Roes look or some other race-gender combos but it's good that they're there so that people have options.
And at 2019 gender locks are stupid.

No they don't. They work hard, they have limited resources, and a deadline. Be supportive.

The vitriol is a bit much in places but people do have a right to voice their concerns. Likewise as pointed out while they didn't /promise/ Male Viera they did their utmost not to actually deny their probability. A lot of this backlash simply wouldn't be here if they had come out from the start and stated Viera were mono-gendered back in Paris and taken out the lore lines about the males during the Alliance Raid quest line. What is happening now is several months worth of hype, debate, and expectation all being thrown out the window and it's no wonder some people are genuinely upset. Especially when it was such an easy problem to outright prevent in the first place.

That said I do feel bad for the dev team who had no hand in how the lore or the marketing of fanfest was presented as well as the forum staff. ESPECIALLY the forum staff. I do not envy their job right now as the forum continues to explode.

No, I read it. All I got is "those concept pictures led us to believe in something that was never promised in the first place". And why am I not surprised to see you here crying about it, just like you've cried in every single complaint thread that has been posted since the Keynote ended?

Do yourself a favor and go to bed; wake up tomorrow and take in all the 5.0 information that is coming, then if that's still not good enough for you, just unsub and save yourself the stress and heartache of not having bunny boys.

If male bunny pixels are all it takes for you to quit, then maybe this game isn't for you. There was *never* any promise of Male Viera and throwing a temper tantrum about it just solidifies the thought in my mind that SE should have just said no when people started asking for Viera in the first place.
