Please note: This quiz is not meant to demonstrate "good" roleplaying with a higher score vs. "bad" roleplaying with a lower score. This is meant to be an entertaining way to see if you might want to look into joining TALE. Just like my character, Aveline, would be an awful fit for several active RP guilds on our server, not everyone is going to be a good fit for TALE, either. That's the glory of a roleplaying server: we have the freedom to find the guild that fits us and our character the best. Please don't take this quiz too seriously. We certainly don't. We have members in TALE that don't fit in with our "ideal" but we love them anyway because they're great players and fun people. We have a few non-roleplayers even who just like to do events with us and hang out. So we encourage you all to look at this for what it is: a stupid quiz you'd find in the back of an old magazine. For comparision, some of our member scores are below.
Answer the following questions by selecting the answer that most suits what you would do, given the following choices. Not every character will fit into 4-5 multiple choice options, so if one doesn't match your character, pick the closest.
1. When you go to the Mineral Concern you:
A) Drink an unlikely amount of liquor, then try to start a fight.
B) Bring some friends, have a few drinks, share some ridiculous war stories and progressively try to out-do each other with your outlandishness.
C) Are a cheap date. One drink and you’re all over the nearest shirtless Elezen. Good thing Eorzea doesn’t have Facebook!
D) Grab a whiskey and sit quietly, brooding, saying little and looking dourly at the louder patrons. Strong drink is for easing the pain, not obliterating common sense and decency!
E) By the end of the night, you are challenging all the dancers to a dance-off.
2. You would most likely play a Miqo'te character for:
A) That confident swagger and their adorably emotive ears.
B) How good they look in tank tops and boy shorts.
C) Acting out your secret, life-long desire to play as Cat Woman.
D) Let's be honest:Sex"Cuddles"
E) Blatant over-use of the word “nyah!”
3. You've got a few free hours for adventuring! Hooray! You are most likely to:
A) Ask your guildmates over and over again what's going on tonight because you (still) can't find the events calendar.
B) Head straight to the tavern to commiserate with other drunks about the unfairness of life. And watch some girls dance.
C) Gear up and drag some guildmates out to the wilds to hunt for an elusive beast. For fame! For glory! .... And maybe also for a giant pile of gil!
D) Gather up your crafting supplies and chat with friends while working on some new pants toexplodetriple-materia meld.
4. You and your guildmates are running a new raid the night the patch goes live. Your team enters the instance for the first time and despite all of you giving it your best shot, you lose. You react by:
A) Going over what worked and what didn't with everyone else, then agreeing to try it a couple more times before calling it a night.
B) Grabbing another shot/beer/cocktail and jumping right back on that bull! *whip crack*
C) Tearfully telling your team that they made a horrible mistake bringing you along. You insist on giving up your spot and spend the rest of the event morosely browsing for gear in the market wards. T_T
D) Doing this. Or this. (NSFW)
5. Mad-Libs are for:
A) Housewives and little girls
B) __adjective__ __plural noun__
C) Fun
D) Nerds
6. Guild forums are for:
A) Using once to post an application.
B) Checking once or twice a month. What was the URL, again?
C) Browsing for notable updates and calendar postings.
D) Using as a social tool and communications hub. And for posting ridiculous videos from work.
7. Your character’s parents/closest family-type figures are:
A) Ashamed that I would ever take up adventuring and have disowned me completely.
B) Rich and dead, horribly slaughtered by Garleans. Thankfully they left me millions of gil to lord over everyone else with.
C) Retired adventurers or shopkeepers. They now make their living by training the new generation.
D) Always up in my business about how I'm not "adventuring right." My mom actually shows up at the aetherytes with a packed lunch.. *sigh*
8. Non-roleplayers are:
A) Useful as scene extras.
B) No fun.
C) Heinous trolls, always out to get me.
D) People, too! They're no better or worse than any random roleplayer.
9. Character progression to you means:
A) Hitting level 50 on a job.
B) Knowing my chosen job(s) and classes inside and out, learning how to play them to the best that I can, always talking with others and learning more, and using those jobs to help our guild progress through the game.
C) Getting all the achievement titles that most match my character's persona.
D) Absolutely nothing. I play to socialize.

Scoring:
10-30 points: Not the best fit. May we recommend one of these other fine linkshells?
31-69: Potentially a fit--you should look into joining us for a couple of events to see if we're what you're looking for.
70-90: Where have you been all our lives?! Speak with a TALE recruiter immediately--they will give you all kinds of candy.
Members of TALE averaged scores in the low 70's. The highest score so far was 85 and the lowest was 52!
