Calamities make it "easier" for Voidsent to naturally come to the Source, for obvious reasons. But "More Powerful" Voidsent is really subjective. We haven't seen any crazy-powerful Voidsent of the likes of Diabolos ever come through on their own power. And those are the kinds of Voidsent that are the ones that are super dangerous. The most we see coming through under their own power all are the cannon fodder type Voidsent. And even most of those were summoned pre-Calamity.

Most notably, all the Voidsent we fight in Mach and in the Allagan raids were summoned thousands of years ago and have simply never gone back to the Void since they were summoned. The Allagan Voidsent are even weirder as the Allagans figured out how to clone Voidsent and make beings that were physically Voidsent, but had never even been to the void...

    My thoughts on this...

In the beginning, the Voidsent devoured the Aether of the Thirtheenth.

When that Aether was all devoured, they fell upon EACH OTHER, the carriers of that Aether.

When Voidgates began to open, a new source of Aether was found. Greater Voidsent enslaved the lesser (hence the Heirarchy of Voidsent mentioned in many places, notably in Triple Triad cards), tasking them with obtaining Aether from the other world when they were unable to visit that world themselves. "Bring me Aether from this other world - or I will devour you and take whatever you have."

Of course, I'm not sure what incentive the lesser Voidsent have to go home and deliver that Aether, once they're here... Perhaps there are reasons why Voidsent cannot remain indefinitely on the Source?

Even though the Lightwardens are gone, aren't there still countless sin eaters roaming the entire world outside Norvrandt?

I was under the impression every living thing that was caught in the Flood was turned into one if they weren't simply killed outright. I suppose it remains to be seen if Eden will somehow fix that problem in the end.

I also feel like there are some details about what was going on at Eulmore that still haven't been filled in. Namely, how the truth of the "ascensions" and meol were being kept so secret despite it being a routine thing.

I'm honestly thinking there's going to be some manner of dungeon to flesh that out at some point in the MSQ, as I'd think they'd have had some special place to carry out those dark deeds as opposed to simply conducting it within the main part of the city (That big reinforced door in the military quarter is especially fishy).

To answer one of your questions...

The Flood does not turn all it touches into Sin Eaters. It wipes out everything, and leaves nothing behind at all, not even Sin Eaters - just a perfect, empty nothingness. Sin Eaters only appear in places the Flood has not yet reached, but that have high concentrations of Light. Even before the Flood began, the First was full near to bursting with Light, thanks both to the Ascians' manipulations and the world's natural balance favoring Light over Dark. After the Flood was halted, the border of the Flood provided a very fertile zone for the generation of Sin Eaters - and, of course, once they began to appear they worked to turn other beings into Sin Eaters, as well.

But no, we're not looking at 9/10ths of the world's living things turned into Sin Eaters by the Flood. 9/10ths of the world has been turned into nothing, not even Sin Eaters.

    Regarding Eulmore
There are large metal doors near the SSS in Kholusia near big crabs, i believe this would probably be where the unsavoury things were carried out close enough to Eulmore but hidden enough out of sight
