Who says Voidsent can't make humans into more Voidsent? The very early THM quests involve one possessing a Lalafell, some like Mindflayers can manifest by possessing corpses, and then there's the entirety of Haukke Manor's story.I think you missed the point. Eulmore is on first. The 13th shard is flooded by darkness. the source is obv the source and the voidsent comes from the 13th shard.
Im coming after equality in terms of power for both ying yang. Why is that they are named sin eater as if they never had any voidsent on their shard(1st). So i assume that they just gave them a name. But in terms of power the sin eater seems to be on better leauhe than voidsent that cannot make humans into voidsent.
The very Huakke Manor dungeon has you having to rescue wailers before they get turned, so yeah, Voidsent can absolutely turn others.
Sin Eaters is a twisted name that came about as people ironically considered these creatures came from the heavens to punish them for their sins; the eating part... well because they eat people. The people of the First don't actually know what eaters are, they're merely held up by superstition and fear of unknowing. Ont he source Voidsent were given their name by scholars who have studied the entities enough to know from where they came.So my question is why the name «sin eater» and not lightsent? If the r suppose to be the opposite of voidsent why is that Sin eater can eat humans and turn them into so called «sin eaters». I mean i want both to be equal but so far the sin eaters seems to be a better league than voidsent...
Oh yeh cant forget the awesome Lightwardens! Are there any opposite sich Darkwarden? Remember a normal person cant kill a Lightwarden easily cuse when they die the light exposes and turn people nearby into sim eaters. So i hope we can meet a darkwarden that does the same effect,
On the topic of power levels, do note that eaters and voidsent are not alive, they are essentially physcial manifestations of their respected aether. The Voidsent we engage on the source will always be of diminished strength because the scale of Dark to Light is still somewhat even. On The First with Light being in abundance meant every eater we faced was at its natural strength.
Well... in order for Voidsent to even get to the Source, they need a portal big enough to let them through. Usually those portals are created on purpose by mages. The most powerful Voidsent (like the Cloud of Darkness) can never come through to the Source because they are too big for a portal to ever be made that they can go though.
It also begs the question of how the really powerful Voidsent can get aether if they never leave the Void... even though they by definition have to have the most aether of any Voidsent...
imps are small enough to fit threw small tears. As for the mage part, it would seem that one faction of mage open a portal to the void, and two others open portals to the first. I am referring about the fifth astral era.
I don't know if black magic got its start in the third astral era by emperor xande. He was trying to get a stable portal to the void linked to the source.
the sin eaters werent even around during the 5th calamity. they have only been around for 100 years on the first meaning about 2-3 years on the source cause the timeline between them got all kinds of screwed up.imps are small enough to fit threw small tears. Actually now the the veil between the void and ours is thinner and can cause larger tears for more powerful void sent to come through. Though mages will still create artificial portals for summoning. (Per encyclopedia eorzea book one page 296 Summoning the voidsent)

Well somehow Amdapor knew what Sin Eaters looked like to model statues after them. Hopefully we get an answer to that soon, iirc Alphinaud said he wanted to investigate that at some point in ShB.
Calamities make it "easier" for Voidsent to naturally come to the Source, for obvious reasons. But "More Powerful" Voidsent is really subjective. We haven't seen any crazy-powerful Voidsent of the likes of Diabolos ever come through on their own power. And those are the kinds of Voidsent that are the ones that are super dangerous. The most we see coming through under their own power all are the cannon fodder type Voidsent. And even most of those were summoned pre-Calamity.
Most notably, all the Voidsent we fight in Mach and in the Allagan raids were summoned thousands of years ago and have simply never gone back to the Void since they were summoned. The Allagan Voidsent are even weirder as the Allagans figured out how to clone Voidsent and make beings that were physically Voidsent, but had never even been to the void...
My thoughts on this...
In the beginning, the Voidsent devoured the Aether of the Thirtheenth.
When that Aether was all devoured, they fell upon EACH OTHER, the carriers of that Aether.
When Voidgates began to open, a new source of Aether was found. Greater Voidsent enslaved the lesser (hence the Heirarchy of Voidsent mentioned in many places, notably in Triple Triad cards), tasking them with obtaining Aether from the other world when they were unable to visit that world themselves. "Bring me Aether from this other world - or I will devour you and take whatever you have."
Of course, I'm not sure what incentive the lesser Voidsent have to go home and deliver that Aether, once they're here... Perhaps there are reasons why Voidsent cannot remain indefinitely on the Source?
It is possible the Allagans had created some synthetic Sin Eaters. Or the Amdapori accidentally created one...
