I am disappointed...

This was a very disappointing set of reveals.

A Bard with different animations.

Two gender-locked races (because it worked out so well before).

One race looks slutty, so of course people are hyped for it... the other uses the Roe body-model, which is trash.

The only positive thing I can say about it is that the zones look really nice. Aside from that, my Shadowbringer hype has came to an end.

All of this is like, your opinion man. Personally I don't really feel excited or disappointed by anything that was revealed tonight but that probably has something to do with the fact I got my dream job during the last Fanfest (Gunbreaker).

I'm genuinely curious as to how low the subs will be in 5.x compared to the lows that we reached during 4.x

I know I'm not buying the xpac now. Two expansions with no new healer? I can play something else.

Were you expecting everyone to be over the moon? There are quite a bit of people disappointed for one reason or another and we're allowed to share those disappointments here. It's a forum...

Agreed. The fact that the two "new" races are just repurposed races from previous Final Fantasy titles, yet they refused to make male and female equivalents, is downright sickening.
This is ESPECIALLY atrocious with the Hrothgar, given there are female Ronso models in FFX.
They had plenty of time to design and develop male Viera, too. They even had concept art back in Heavensward, so they really have no excuse for it.

Dancer being a ranged DPS is also dumb. Way to shove it to healers, can't wait to see how few there will be when people boycott the game.
What's more annoying is the fact that I guarantee they made Dancer a ranged DPS to try and push Bard out of the meta.
So, instead of making more classes viable, they just made another class to try and make ONE class less viable.

It's probably going to be higher than SB. The only people that care about the fact that dancer isn't a healer or that there's no male viera are already playing the game, If they are going to quit a entire expansion over that then that's their loss. WoW is currently tanking and bleeding it's player base, the expansion isn't even here and I've never seen cities this bustling with people. The population will peak out in 5.0 just like every expansion then probably taper off as time goes on, but given how many new players and "WoW Refugees" keep coming over, the population for FFXIV is going to be the most healthiest it's ever been, imo.
