So they could spend their time getting the balance right on ONE or the other, or they could try to split their concentration and do a shitty job on both. That is something SE have said themselves with SB came out.

Like I said though, I'm sympathetic. It sucks. That's why I'm hoping for a surprise announcement based on his shirt.

Thing is even if they take their time they're just plain bad at it. SB is living proof that even with no new healer added the development team is patently incapable of balancing the healer roles ever since AST was thrown into the mix. They either need to bring in outside help or abandon any pretext of balance at this point.

If there are only two jobs, I can kinda understand their reasoning. Healers and Tanks are the hardest jobs to balance when introduced to existing ones. So it would kinda make sense to do a tank/dps set for this expansion, then healer/dps for next expansion (gives them more time to work out balance).

Sucks for people looking for a new healer though. Here's hoping there's a surprise announcement of healer based on the shirt Yoshida was wearing (Said "B yourself, B beautiful" and then had something about haircuts at the bottom).

Six years. SIX. without healer, I'm not OK with that. It's just stupid. Can you imagine 6 years without DPS for example? If they were to make only 2 jobs on this expansion, sacrifing DPS was the logical choice, since SB was all DPS (3 DPS Job).

wait what? there were only 2 jobs added? are you counting blu? because blu doesnt count, its not a dps its a limited job

6 years is a bit much to expect players to wait for a fresh job for their role.

Dancer makes more sense as a ranged dps imo. Not too disappointed with that. would've been nice to get another healer though. If we don't get a new healer in the following expansion then chances are we never will.

You can also say that the gunblade job would have made more sense as a dps... but it's a tank

Well I can't speak for the gunbreaker class but dancer has always been a support/buff kind of class. Ranged DPS hits the mark. Sure healer could've worked too but somehow this one just feels right. Still sucks we don't have a new healer announced yet

I still want to see a Medic job as healer.
