Somehow I can't edit posts on mobile but WE, there is something called FF explorer which lets you view the ig gear, models, skeletons, etc. and that's how we know fem miquo and fem midlander share the same base skeletons, as do the other races
Okay, but viera and Hrothgar aren't out yet. So no one has been able to see their skeletons. Its just assumptions.
You used Fran for example, but who knows if they'll even share the same skeleton as her.
Npc skeletons aren't always the same as player skeletons.
bye bye, if you leave because of gender locked races, then your not a real fan of ffxiv anyway.
What does that even mean?! What does that even mean? Fans can and should view things they consume with a critical mind, and constantly line that up with their own beliefs and world views. Realizing the two no longer align does not make you less of a fan, but it does mean you're not a blind cult member.
They stated quite clearly on the slides that the only unique aspect of each race is the HEAD. It's why they don't have any headgear ready for the races, because it's the only thing that they have to actually change. Furthermore the npc DO use the exact same rigs as the players, they don't have two different animation engines.
Even if that's true, it still requires work to make sure everything works properly. Do you people really think its that easy to just make every single piece of gear in this game, work perfectly with the two new races? Do you realize how much unique gear is in this game? I don't know why i even bother sometimes. People on this forum are just thick headed and think things are so easy for the devs. They stated quite clearly on the slides that the only unique aspect of each race is the HEAD.
