Ok, you affirming how i'm feeling it's beyond weird to me (and a lil pretentious). It's just a game dude, if it's no longer for my liking, i will not play. SE is not evil or anything. You did say gender lock or anything that break all possibility of player identity is a deal breaker for you, so you are saying from your personal perspective SE has made a mistake trying to please two different community requests. Since assuming they have already lost you as a player, so you must personally feel their choice was a mistake.

You're all mad. Get angry at the game for providing nothing for us to do at max level.
The reason they can get away with it is because they, quite rightly-ish, think a majority of people like sitting in a city staring at their character.
This is why the main line of games have become a very pretty hallway. This is why this game is just very pretty instances.
Things like this remind me of the WoW community always screaming that flight is no longer a day one feature of an expansion and is a (albeit terrible) achievement grind and it's account wide. "No fly, no buy" is often the rally cry they use.

It's a bad reason to you. People play this game for multiple reasons and it being a glorified dress-up game is one of them. I have many, MANY friends who don't give a single crap about any content outside of glamour and role-playing. A new race is akin to years worth of content to them, and when it is not being offered, they would rather take their business elsewhere.I never said you can't unsub, i just said its not a good reason.
Unsubbing because "genderlock" and "breaks player identity" is a pretty bad reason. Viera aren't even out yet, so what identity is even broken right now?
I can tell you the reason i quit WoW, outside of raiding and M+ there is nothing to do. The Azerite system feels terrible, and unrewarding. There isn't enough substance to keep me interested.
The genderlock thing is so tiny, its like saying "I'm quitting because Zandalari trolls are horde when they should have been alliance."
Or "I'm quitting because alliance got another horse mount again."
I understand that the company wants "I'm unsubbing" threads apparently.
But whenever i unsubbed from WoW or FF14 i just did it without making some big thread on reddit or the forums. Its not a big deal and nobodies business.
Just quit and leave. No need for the attention.
For many others, including myself, it's the final straw that broke the camel's back and not the sole reason to unsub (as you would know if you read the OP).
Unsubbing silently is not what SE wants. Yoshi-P has gone out publicly to say give feedback. That is what people are doing. No reason to try and silence those who are being polite and giving honest feedback just because you personally do not care.

Umm, you can choose your gender. Just not the exact race and gender combo you may or may not want with the 2 new races. It's nothing new in the Eastern MMO space. It takes away the liberty from the game to me, i can choose my name, i can choose my job, i can choose my race, why i can't choose my gender? It's not a big deal for some and may be hard to empathize with that, but ridiculous? That doesn't make my reasons to unsub any less legitime than the others.
Also, there are no male Viera in the game right now yet you're still playing ... so yes, it's ridiculous to leave just cause you didn't get a new thing you never had. If they hadn't swapped Viera in place of Fem Lions I woulda been let down but I'm still getting a new female option, the same content I enjoy and ... it's not like they OWE ME a Bunny girl. It's something I want but the possibility of one is not why I've played for so long.
I could see if SE decided that too few people play FemRoe and Fem Elezen to keep supporting them ... so they deleted them, set the player characters affected to default human girls and sent the players a potion to change race/ appearance. THAT would be a solid and reasonable reason to leave over race as it's taking away something I had invested time and money and memories into, forcing me to choose something other than what I already had a connection to.
But if you wanna leave for a silly reason ... w/e. It's your sub.
So yeah .. bye, Felicia.
So your friends didn't play any of this Expansion seeing how we didn't get a new race? It's a bad reason to you. .
That's such strange logic seeing as only 1 new race has been added to the game so far. I mean, this isn't like LoL Champions ...
I'm playing cause i still have time left in my sub. Its so hard for ppl to understand that others play for different motives. It's not important to YOU, but to me it's a big deal. I can say that you keep sub to a game with gender locked races is ridiculous, its just that subjective. Stop trying to make your point of view the right one, cause its not, its just what you think.Umm, you can choose your gender. Soooooo ... what exactly DROVE you to play this game before? What did you enjoy about it? Was your motive to purely to support a game with no gender locking? Did you not get any enjoyment from it other than the pleasure of flushing away money to support this one game with no gender locking? Did you level boost your account and now have 2nd thoughts or did you leave for a long time and just sub again to post on the forums (Going off your character's level for that one. I'f your highest is level 60 with that Join Date then IDK what to say about your play pattern so Imma leave it.)?I'm playing cause i still have time left in my sub. Sounds like the most entitled whiny mess to me.
Either way ... bye, Felicia.
Don't let the door hit ya.
I'm gonna keep enjoying this game and respect the Dev's limitations and smart use of resources to give us something we wanted as well as something we needed, even if it didn't come with yet more race/ gender combos to join Femroe in the invisible club.
There's many reasons to leave this game. I've dropped it in the past to. But this? It's the most special snow flake non-sense I've seen.
"I didn't get something I never had, Imma leave if you don't permanently add more strain than you can handle to your production cycle to add something I'm not even gonna play as!" My oh my ..

Your reason to leave the game is valid since it is your reason, though before you leave mind telling the community what SE could have done differently to keep you as a customer?I'm playing cause i still have time left in my sub. Obviously it is my personal opinion but I wouldn't call "hey I was playing the game just fine until now with no Viera but now I'm unsubbing until you add them." a "feedback".It's a bad reason to you.
