Male Viera... Unsubbing for now.

here's how it is: to make male viera, fem Hroth, they'd need to rework each piece of equipment in the game, to fit their models, which you might have guessed correctly, would take HUGE amount of time and money.

Don´t forget the other side to this, they likely believe that for all the resources they would have to sink into making make viera and female hrothgar, they would be as rare as femroes so why bother and "waste" resources.

I'm not unsubbing or anything, but Square will get some fantasia money for me in 6.0 if they end up adding the genders later, and likely more sub money since I like to make alts for different races to level casually.

The no-male Viera no-healer joint announcement has dampened my hype but I'm still pretty excited for Shadowbringers.

You already know the plan and you are unhappy because it is not the way you want isn’t it? I checked Japanese forum before I post this one. They didn’t complains. If this is not social justice warriors in play. I don’t know what it is. Especially this game allows player marriage (of any gender).

And if you are unsubbing from the game, does that mean you'll unsub the Forums to?
Because...if you arn't going to play or support the game, then why use its forum?

Actually, if someone does unsubscribe from the game they will be unsubscribe from the forms as well...

If I recall correctly, you can no longer login to the forums if your character has not been logged in for 14 days or so.

Actually they do have a thread requesting male viera be added. They don't have outright complaint threads because they tend to be more polite.
I believe we also had to complain in order to be able to have same-sex marriage in the game.

We did! And they gave in more due to dev laziness than anything, since they saw there was a demand, and gender locking the bonding ceremony (which would be bugged as heck since, what, it'll lock you out of the quest or the event in case one or both bonded fantasia into a same-sex couple?) would be harder than not doing it

You had hope to get Male Viera and didn't get one you're sad we all know the feeling but it doesn't affect how the game was before.

I'm unsubbing until male Viera are added, sorry devs. I love the game, but I have been hoping for this for a really long time (well before Viera were confirmed or hinted at coming to the game). I understand this is probably a little childish, but I'm not worried about appearing that way.

I'm happy the Ronso crowd got their race, but I'm very disappointed we've yet again taken the route of "men big manly" and "women sleek sexy". Games with genderlocking in races and classes NEVER keep my attention. Black Desert looks great, for example, but my favorite classes are female only so I just can't bring myself to play it.

Unfortunately, between BLU, no male Viera, and (so far) no healer... I'm just really let down.

Please consider bringing us male Viera very soon.
