I'm very glad they didn't put male Vieras in FFXIV.
This game needed a "fantasy" touch with a race like Ronso, instead of the generic "humanoids" we were getting every time.

I won't change to Ronso but it will be cool to have them around for the sake of variety, instead of the generic humanoids with cat ears, bunny ears or just long ears.

Being this upset over a videogame not giving you exactly what you wanted is already pretty sad. so elezen is the most slim, midlander is the slim/regular Highlander/aura is the athletic muscular, roe is the unrealistic large/stocky.

Again, You are incorrect. The only "slim" thing here is the logic. With a few exceptions the first 4 rows are all average build. "Slim" is simply refurring to being fit or more simply, not fat.

And with these you can point out to 1.0, when there were no male Miqo'te, neither female Roegadyn or Highlander. Also a race being pulled from one game, doesn't mean it's the same in this game, and again, even before Viera even being mentioned in XIV, we knew male Viera were a thing in Ivalice, just not ever shown. You can make it about politics all you want, to me first and foremost it's about missing game features that we've been trained to expect from the game since they relaunced it. And I'm not saying you can't make the gender politics argument, it's definitely there as well.

A race gender isn't a game feature tho...So calling it a missing feature is a huge stretch. Yeah, everyone knows Males exist, its just that they never really make themselves known. People will always bring up "The-Lore" because thats just what it is. And you can't really counter a race from previous games with established lore against new races in the current game. Im not saying you can't be upset about it, but the arguments don't work.
And 1.0 before ARR 2.0 is a whole different issue I think.

I feel dumb for forgetting to counter this point. The only females in this game that aren't incredibly skinny are female roegadyn and lalafells. Highlanders have a touch more bulk to them but not much more. Otherwise every female in this game is super skinny.

I am soooooo hyped right now. Glad guns were stuck too, I think people are acting a bit spoiled and dramatic. Rdps needed a third class but I am a teeny bit disappointed that i don't have an excuse to roll a healer.

What part of the product isn't meeting your standards? The game is running and has plenty of content for you to enjoy. If they had never announced viera you would still be playing. Grow up. The entitlement is showing.

Yes if they'd never announced Viera I probably would still be playing (which btw I am and will keep doing so, I'm simply defending the people who aren't)... assuming they actually added any more meaningful content aside from it.
If one of the only things you're looking forward to in the game ends up being disappointing then what's even the point? Maybe someone was like "man I'm really disappointed Dancer isn't a healer but at least we're getting Viera soon and I can play as a guy" only for Squeenix to also shoot those hopes down.

This part was the best part imo. we dont need any more basic healers. they need to find a way to make healing feel more rewarding and distinct. also dancing on people's graves to bring them back was ridiculous.
