We literally had this already with Roes and Miqo'te and they FIXED it after everyone wanted the options. Why the heck would we go back to gender locking races????

I'm guessing so they only have to do half the work of modeling while still announcing they're adding 2 new races to the game. It's a marketing gimmick.

Everything was perfect until Dancer was announced as Ranged DPS.
I am so so so disappointed.

Although I'm disappointed in the fact that healer is not DNC. I am pleased that it is in the game. Which is what I wanted. It may not be melee but it does have the ENHANCE buffs that FFXI had and dances like I really wanted it to be in a sense.

So while it didn't meet my exceptions it certainly is not the worst fanfest ever.

Sad that male Viera are not joining the cast but at least we got 2 new races to make up for one locked race... And I'm sure Balmung will turn into a RP furry paradise. RIP.

But the new areas look beautiful.

I can't wait to explore them.

Calling it the worst fanfest because they didn't live up to what you wanted is extremely immature. People will always be unhappy no matter what they decide to do, they can't cater to what every single person wants.
