Sooo, what happened to that fem hrothgar thread?

Would be great to have male bunnies have plain to not meant to be hot facial features just to see how many people would actually play them then.

See the thing is, nobody here actually cares about female hrothgar. Male viera is the priority. The only reason most would even want female hrothgar is to have both M/F. Realistically that race probably wouldn't be that popular anyway.

Most of the male options are hideous and a lot of people still play those, so plain features would probably still make male viera a popular male race.

Don't get me wrong though, I don't care about either personally. It would be nice to have both M/F, but if not oh well. I just want more hairs for my viera sooner than later.

Nothing. Its still there. People just don't need to constantly bump it and rage or argue about in there.
They've pretty much had their discussion, now they wait.

No, people care about Female Hrothgar. The difference between that thread and this thread is there is no Giant Outcry about it. People aren't fighting about preserving lore, and people weren't teased of the concept way back in Heavensward. And hey, fact is its a Beast Race, so unless you wanna literally ruin it by turning them into Bara Miqote, theres no way you can advocate for them to be all cute and short like people wanna do to the Viera. More people are in fact attracted to Human-looking faces. Thats a fact. But its a lie to say nobody cares about Female Hrothgar. Just because people arn't constant bumping a thread and talking circles and bickering or constantly nagging the devs ear off about it doesn't mean the interest died.
The Hrothgar community is just alot more Patient then the Viera community, and are happy with what they have and can wait for the coming additions.

Wanting quality and things that aren't incomplete isn't bias-it's the standards that I and many others do in fact, have. You're happy with junk-and that's ok! But you don't get to tell me to shut up because I want better.

So this game is junk base on something you demand and feel entitled to? Why don't you quit if it's that bad for you to call it junk? I'm okay with whatever Square Enix decides, question is will you?

There are few things I don't like in game that I would like to see improved on, but it's far from being junk. It's just something I wish for personally and I don't think coming here kicking and screaming and acting like you are the spokesperson for masses is going to improve your "junk".

Missing hairstyles

Missing headgear

Missing unique hempen sets

Missing “wolf face”

Missing basic aesthetician functionality for Hrothgar

Missing warnings on mogstation for when you might buy something incompatible with the new races or warnings about their limits when you fantasia

It’s almost as if there’s a unifying word that keeps repeating itself over and over again that one associates with the word “incomplete.” So no, I won’t stop referring to them as such because anyone who looks at the new races and deems them to be complete in the state they’re in now are ok with a major loss in quality in something that was supposed to be one of the shiny new features of the expansion. They’re junk and need fixing.

Since Hrothgar need some work (and I believe they do), how would y'all feel if they released male Viera 1st (like 6.0-ish) then female Hrothgar later down the line. At this rate I cant see them finishing them both at the same time at any kind of quick pace.

It would be better than nothing but in the event one gets released before the other they should make it clear for the sake of the other side that the missing gender of the other race would be added sometime in the future.

-No Missing Hairstyles. They have Unique heads and will have Unique Hairstyles. Coming soon, stay tuned.

-The Headgear Needs to be Possibly Redesigned to properly fit the heads. Its not missing, its Incompatible in its current state.

Agreed...but only if they realistically have plans to do it. Not just to appease the opposite side by possibly Lying to them.

I don’t want anymore “unique hairstyles” I want the ones that cost actual money or millions of Gil to be available.


The headgear is an issue that’s a massive problem and Viera and Hrothgar do not have unique hempen sets. They share them with Hyur and Roegadyn.


No highlights or being able to change hair at the aesthetician for Hrothgar. That’s pretty much one of the core functions of the aesthetician.


You don’t get to have this many missing features and still be considered a full race. Viera and Hrothgar are the racial equivalents of Blue Mage as they are now.
