Agreed, and the person didn't even read their links. Nintendo isn't censoring 3rd Party titles, just their own stuff due to Nintendo of America. Other companies aren't censoring either in japan, if anything is brought over with another publisher, then it's censored.

They don't care. Nintendo of America was simply brought in to make the headaches less, and most of it was translation more then censorship, cultural checks vs local culture etc. Hence, localization. As for Sony, why ya think Nintendo said they won't censor 3rd party games? They will gladly embrace the companies that laughed at Sony and left.

And what was censored by Sony, was the sexual content games. e.i. Forbidding the release worldwide of said games, which is costing Sony now a lot of money since they signed exclusivity deals with many of these companies, that now can't release their games on the platform yet stuck with Sony. It's cost Sony more then others realize, since companies thus far in the over a year long court debate, look to be given full permission to break their exclusivity deal and release on other platforms. Making in the end, Sony annoyed to no end in Japan, since Sony Corporation of America is the ones doing this.

i'm not "fanboying" over anything. what i'm saying is that the western audience (the largest) is catered to by the japanese. at the end of the day it's all about money, and why wouldn't you want to give your largest audience what they want?

The problem is we're discussing supposed sexism. Western players may not like genderlocks, but that's not the same thing as "sexism". You will find that when companies bend over backwards to accommodate identity politics they often churn out much reviled products that turn their own consumers off them. So don't expect SE to cave into "concerns" about that, so much as potential demand for male Viera/female Hrothgar and the money that could make them.

A few already discredited outfits writing their usual bile-filled garbage about the game, in language that only resonates with a sliver of its playerbase, is not going to have as much of an effect as some may think.
