To be fair 1.0 was a horrible mess to begin with and was totally rebuilt with a new engine to 2.0 the fact is the devs already answered the question to males being added and people don't want to accept it. Honestly am totally surprised people haven't complained about them not having the bunny tail. . . .

I mean ... I really have nothing else to add. I find it kinda funny people seem to take issue with the statement that Viera look like better proportioned elezen. Like, that's about half the reason I decided to forgo swapping between Hrothgar and Viera. I played Femroe for years and never had much desire to play Femelezen and from body shape to animations to the way glam fits them they just look like better looking elezen.

Female viera have a female miqote body thats been upscaled to arround elezen height, and female miqote has very good proportions, so ofc they are gonna look more proportioned lol

I thought it was the miqo'te body at first, but I think it's just midlander with some muscle tone. Miqo'te don't have muscle tone, and I think they are actually a little 'thicker' around the midsection. Highlanders use an upscaled miqo'te body with a muscle slider. Midlanders are more slim, and Viera also use the exact same hempen set, you'd think it defaults to the body.

oh I didnt know that, I though it was female miqote because they had a striking resemblance, evn in the concept (humans with animal ears), but you are right, they're less thick than them, and likely based on midlander females now thta u say so. Means males will likely be based on that as well? I'd prefer male au ra or male hig if im honest tho

And its a bit funny seeing some trying to argue that something must be a child or must be a female even though its clearly a male, just not in a style they like. Its even better when you have that on a Final fantasy forum..since FF games love to make pretty boys.

Agreed. The male characters are rendered especially doll-like in Dissidia NT. Ramza is a good example. And sure, the game was developed by Team Ninja and not SE, but it's still their IP. Still their characters. And Cecil is gonna be out here rocking lipstick regardless of whose game he's in.

I'm surprised nobody in here has mentioned lalafells as part of the whole youth argument, actually.

Cecil resembles an adult male. Some of the artwork being pushed as potential inspiration for what male viera could look like does not resemble an adult male. Let's not forget that Yoshi-P had to make a statement explicitly stating that child-like viera would not be happening. Unfortunately some posters now seek to try and push the boundaries as close to a child-like aesthetic as they feel they can get away with.

The artist you linked earlier on in the thread has a Twitter feed full of inappropriate material depicting characters that do not resemble adults in highly inappropriate situations.

Thankfully Yoshi-P already ruled out child-like viera models as a playable option so we know that they're not going to be added to the game for moral and ethical reasons as he stated.

But the whole twitter account does not have to do with the pictures that Senn posted. In those pictures you could see male adults (and one chibi viera which is quite different from a child). Heck most probably wont look at the twitter account and just at the pictures..its like using arguments against something which has happened on another site for something on this site. The posted fanart was of adult males.

So..because it was interesting me I went to that twitter account (stopped at december 2018). Most of the post are not sexual at all and there are a couple (most of them with cat bois) but one must have a really broad definition on what counts as child if those are children..they are clearly adults or at least older teenagers (and nothing wrong with two older teenagers doing stuff) and its also their artstyle. They posted one sexual art of a female and this is her own character too (which is clearly adult). Honestly if those are counting as children then please ban female Au Ra from the game and Lalafel too because they are clearly childlike looking too.
