I love their version of male viera. I think it's a great slim and athletic build and follows the concept art well just like you said. I don't have a twitter, but I'm so tempted to make one just to follow this user. I'm very happy I discovered them.I really like how much detail they put into the hair and ears. I would definitely make a male to join my cast of characters with the face on the second page, especially with that nose and scar option. This is a good concept for a slim and athletic build and follows the original concept art.
The art is pretty good, great looking female viera.

I think it's pretty great!
I don't recall. Did I? Even if so, I'm sure there's no shortage of other posters - yourself included - who have made conflicting statements over the course of a 829 page thread.

A while ago, you told people to stop posting the same art in this thread.
For some reason, your post was deleted, but I was in agreement with you and responded with this.
Did you change your mind on this?Agreed. There will probably be people who unknowingly post art that has already been shown in the thread. Let's try to avoid posting the same thing if possible.
However, I think it's ok to post art that has already been posted if there's something specific about that art piece you want to discuss.
I remember, and you most certainly did. It's a bit hypocritical of you to keep posting the same image.
"Backtracking, eh?" :^)
Uh huh. You've posted this picture several times before. Which is really funny, since you were against other people posting the other pictures over and over again - which I was in agreement with you. I really wish your post wasn't deleted, but what can I do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In my opinion it creates a tense, unsettling atmosphere in the thread. I hope people aren't sitting back worrying that they're being called out!
Ahahaha so saltyAt any rate, since we know that Yoshi-P has already ruled out child-like designs for male viera then perhaps it would be a good idea to avoid posting designs that adhere to those aesthetics? Perhaps the original post could be updated as well with a link to the statement ruling out child-like viera as the reasoning is very important.
Oh I agree! I think you should stop spamming the same picture. I don't want to see this thread locked.

I don't think that it is hypocritical at all. I was simply quoting part of the original post to voice my agreement as to what I would like them to look like, after all.

Not at all, though I think you should strive to post constructively. I don't want to see this thread locked.

What do you mean? Left side has some great artwork of female, and a bit of a concept of the male body in the bottom middle, but right side is supposed to be a male and looks nothing like the original concept art.I really like how much detail they put into the hair and ears. I would definitely make a male to join my cast of characters with the face on the second page, especially with that nose and scar option. Unless you mean this one?
What concept are you referencing?

Exactly my thoughts too! Now as for the males, that picture reposted by Theodric is a great illustration of a slim, handsome, elegant male Viera! Much like the three guys on the first row of the original concept art.
It's part of their race description from promo site actually. And I mean... it still sounds extremely dumb, unless they give birth with hundreds of eggs like Sahagins do. And considering "The First" storyline - they don't (though it could be mix-raced marriage).I believe I read somewhere that the birth rate of females in Hrothgar society are extremely low, thus the lack of them. I'll have to dig around once I'm off work to see if I can remember where I read it, and if it's credible and not just someone's reddit headcanon or something. I'll let you know if I find something!
Well... ehm. It was just lazy exuse, I suspect. In the way "It worked with male Miqo'te and male Viera, so why it wouldn't work here?" without much thoughts behind this and how this lore sounds when you start to analyze it. But I could be wrong and they maybe have some brilliant explanaition, so we will see.
Also, this is off-topic I suspect and we should discuss it in Hrothgars thread maybe but okay. XD

I just had an epiphany... We all know(or should know by now in this thread) that the males live in solitude their entire life, hunting, cooking, attire, housing all done by themselves. They at times go back to the women to breed and lead boys coming of age away to help them learn to live in the woods until old enough to fend for themselves.
Now, if one is a loner in the wild, we've all seen how they can look. Some stocky, some skinny, for humans at least. Most are short, (This I feel has more to do with the genes of the race of the person though) but seen a few tall ones. One thing is for sure, they are strapped. If they flex, muscles role over muscles.
Knowing the lore, does anyone else picture a Bunny version of Wolverine from Marvel?
Actually, and this is something I just recently learned, but male viera do not live in solitude for their entire lives. They are only given permission to seek solitude once they successfully complete the rite of passage. Well... this is probably a moot point since viera are known to have very long life spans. Perhaps their training to become a master is simply a small fragment of their life, and they very well may live in solitude for the majority of their lives.
I do wonder if there are some male viera that choose not to live in solitude. By completing the rite of passage, they are given permission to seek solitude, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's what all of them choose to do, is it? Maybe there are some male viera that prefer to remain in the groups they trained with or something?
As for your question, I do think male viera would have muscle, but I don't think they would be super buff. I've pointed at minafumi's artwork before as an example for how they might look. There's still muscle, and they are toned, but they are also very slim. Hmm.. if we're going by comic book heroes, I think spiderman would be a good comparison.
