That's not true, and I don't know why you're feigning ignorance. However, it's demonstrably true that your camp has been quick to stamp out people for posting slim characters, and shutting down anyone who's artwork doesn't align to your preferences. In this case, you're giving this poster a really difficult time, and trying to excuse it by saying you're only "debating" or "critiquing" their work, but we all know you're just biased in favor of buff viera, and will act dismissive towards anything else.
edit:
We probably should move on.
I just want to add one last thing.
When it comes to someone's artwork, as in they drew it themselves, people should lay off on the criticism or debate. They posted their work in a show of support, and their creativity should not be dismissed in such a way. If you don't like it, I suggest not commenting?
I guess I should have just said you and a handful of other posters.
I mean, their art was literally traced off their screenshot, like they said. I admit I haven't been reading everything, but the main issue was they were using a female model to rp as male viera? What prompted you to bring up the artwork when the bulk of discussion was surrounding the screenshots of a female viera being made to look as male as possible?
I also believe that anything posted here is free to be commented on so long as the commentary falls within the confines of the terms of service.
You know, I'd really love to see you go into a "Show Your Miqo'te!" thread or something and try to critique the screenshots in there. It wouldn't be appropriate there, because that's not what the thread was made for. Likewise, this thread wasn't made to critique anyone's artwork or creative ideas. It's first and foremost a support thread. If you really want to comment on someone's creative work though, at least have some tact.
Uuuh that was definitely not backtracking, but ok.

STOP PUTTING PEOPLE INTO GROUPS
It's getting tiresome, this group did this, that group did that. Just knock it off! Stop painting people in the same blooming brush all the time. This is why we have people thinking those who want male Viera are just degenerates who want them for sordid reasons, .
Feigning ignorance? Could you elaborate? I'm also confused by the term 'camp' - you seem to be inferring that everybody asking for male viera to be tall and beefy is some sort of hive-mind operating in tandem with each other but that simply is not the case. That's not true, and I don't know why you're feigning ignorance. It's not as if the beefy bunny crowd are in complete agreement with one another either.

Backtracking, eh? Well, I strongly disagree - I don't believe I have been unfair in the slightest during my contributions to this thread. The only thing I have tried to stamp out completely has been the requests for male viera to be designed to be child-like as well as any attempts to push them as close as possible to that imagery without crossing the line completely. I think it should be obvious why that is the case, however, in light of Yoshi-P's official statement on the matter.
Not that it matters, since we already know that if male viera are added they are going to be designed to be tall and fairly beefy like Urianger. Yoshi-P has described them as 'elezen like' after all, so the imagery is a great fit.

I do wanna clarify that, again, it was a trace-over, so I really can't claim it was entirely my work and I wasn't at all fishing for praise in posting it. I do appreciate the compliment, though.
People are free to critique my drawings all they want, traces or otherwise. What I got from my post was not critique. It was "she's a she," which is not critique, but flippant dismissal. It was pretty much one person saying it, buuut then a whole bunch of people in the thread decided to jump in and double down on the remark. Honestly I've gotten a lot worse feedback than that, but it was still pretty rude, and the fact that it just kept going was kind of, uh. Not super great.
And then having people jumping on the train with apparent lore justification for my character being unplayable also didn't exactly feel wonderful. But my itty bitty widdle feefees aren't really that important here.
Wrt the current topic, I'm on board for whatever body type or face type as long as gross sexual dimorphism isn't involved, because I'm pretty sick of that. The Au Ra dimorphism is a pretty big turnoff for me. It's obviously not WoW-level, but it's still pretty tiresome. And yes, this does go the other direction; I think smol bun male Viera would be out of place and strange. It also wouldn't really fit with the established lore that apparently there's very little physical difference between the sexes prior to puberty.
Then again, babby Au Ra all pretty much look the same. The women just never physically mature past their teens.
Yeah, I also thought it was a bit rude.
I know there will probably be a few people in this thread that will intentionally try to give you a hard time, but I would just ignore it.
There are some of us who did enjoy your screenshot and your artwork, and I hope you're not discouraged from posting more. If you have a backstory for your male viera character as well, I'm definitely interested in hearing it.
Male vieras lore wise are probably as fat as vauthry cuz all they do is get fed by their female slaves and procreate to make sure their species lives on.
Is that what you all want? :^)
"Stop generalizing a group of people!"
"Hold on while I generalize this whole group of people."
- Same person, probably.
Seeing that the females have a bit of unchangeable body tone that makes them look fit.
It's pretty much already guarantee the males will be ripped.
