From what I have seen of the in-game viera, I highly doubt if males get added they would be feminine. I don't think there is much to worry about. The race just doesn't come off that way, in my opinion.
They would probably be kind of jerks in their emotes and stuff.![]()

Uhhh, I think going into a thread like this and having the opposite opinion is no different than going into one of those old "no more eureka like content!" Threads and saying " I like eureka, looking forward to what eureka like content they do next"
As in its perfectly within your right to state your opinion or feelings on the matter. If you want an echo chamber then fine, make a discord and only invite people who agree with you to it. You want a public forum you open your topic up to all sides. The devs wanted to hear from all sides when they were looking through feed back so everyone's voice and thoughts have a place on these forums.
Don't get me wrong, I completely understand what you're saying. However in a thread created with the intention of supporting an idea, I really can't understand when some people decide to post things like "I hope this never gets added", "Male miqo'te was a mistake and should be deleter", "female roes are disgusting and shoudln't have been a thing", etc. Not supporting an idea doesn't mean you're against it. However when someone wants to be able to play Viera/Hrothgar to have a better gaming experience, yet someone else thinks they shouldn't be allowed to because they don't wanna look at them, that's when I think it doesn't make much sense. Male Viera and female Hrothgar aren't taboo subjects, it's not like asking for playable children, and it's definitely not something that will affect this person or anyone else's gameplay in the slightest because it's an option, not a requirement.Ok this discussion isn't my business, but at the same time I need to ask.
Why can't someone not want something? Its perfectly fine for somebody to have an opposite opinion. Its healthy to have a varying opinion. Why is it wrong for one side to want something, and The other side to Not Want something? It doesn't effect either side. Guess what, everyone has an opinion.
Some opinions may resonate with others, but at the end of the day, its an opinion...why are we fighting and demonizing each other over Opinions?
Again, it's okay to not want or not support something, but going out of your way, in a plataform created for supporting an idea and bash on it while diminishing another concept (male miqo, horthgar and roes) just becuse their "behavior" doesn't go with your vision, is silly to me. Especially if the reasoning is nothing else other than "the idea is dumb", or "all the skimpy male cats/roes/aura will play them so I don't want it lol".
I keep going away for a couple of days at a time and every single time I come back to check on how things are going, people are STILL fighting each other in here and being nasty to those who have different opinions. Show your support for rabbits or don't, but don't stoop down and name call because someone doesn't agree with you.
Or someone could make their own forum with their own message to say. People who post hate know exactly what they're doing, I'm not going to insult their intelligence by implying that they don't.Uhhh, I think going into a thread like this and having the opposite opinion is no different than going into one of those old "no more eureka like content!" But lets be honest, this was never about accepting contrary opinions, or frozen peaches, this is about people wanting to shame the idea of male Viera and their supporters without consequence and get upset when they can't get away with it. It's why so many are quick to cry fowl when things don't go as planned. Contrary opinions are fine, this thread is full of them, but thinly-veiled hate posts get called out; it's not a personal attack by any means, it's just pointing out bad behavior and arguments.
Solution...ignore them. Stop feeding into it and giving it power. As much as you dont like seeing it, you dont have to engage it.Don't get me wrong, I completely understand what you're saying. Keep supporting the idea you believe in no matter how many people think differently.
Touched a nerve I see.
As much as some seem to hate it, the root of the issue for some is directly related to that. One poster in the past coming out right and bluntly saying their disdain is because they personally find male Viera disgusting and don't want to see them "running around", and another pointing to Male miqo'te and hrothgar doing "strange things" when people do the same shenanigans with them they've been doing with other races and gender. It's one of the only 2 issues that those who vehement oppose to male viera have, the other being "lore". It stinks to hear, but to deny it is naive and assumes the posters have more integrity than they actually do.
It's not identity politics for the sake of it, it's literally calling into light a reasoning behind the distaste. There are people that hate the idea of how male Viera look and we don't even know what they look like.
Come on now, lets not try and pretend there isn't a more subconscious gut-reaction driving these actions.
Sigh. Alright, here we go.Touched a nerve I see.

Some guys don't like tomboys; doesn't make them any less straighter than they are.
Some girls don't like buff men; doesn't mean they automatically like femboys or girls.
Some guys like big buff men; doesn't mean they hate pretty boys.
Some girls like pretty boys; doesn't mean they wanna date girls or hate muscular men.
There's a thing called preference and just because people have a preference for something doesn't make that person suddenly a bad person. It is absolutely okay to not want to see femboys running around in a video games; this isn't Second Life, this isn't Sims. Just because they do not want to see that doesn't mean they hate all gays or have an agenda or are bigots or whatever.
Some people just don't want to see it. And that is o k a y. It doesn't make them bad people. Some people really don't care to see big Roe men running around naked. That's okay. Some people don't want to see half naked cats and dragons frolicking around. That is absolutely a-okay.
So yes, stop. Don't.
Don't make this more than it has to be because it only makes some look ugly that they are saying others cannot have preferences without being the big bad wolf.
First of all i'm gay. Not everyone who disagrees with you is a~bigot~. All I'm saying is don't use my sexuality as an ~aesthethic~ you're the one that decided to go on this rant of yours.Touched a nerve I see.
