I was very on board for Male Viera for a long time, however, I am much happier they went with the Hrothgar now that I've changed into one. I think they bring a nice diversity along with the Viera to the game.

I'm not talking about the lore in game, I'm talking about the behavioral pattern square has with ff14 thus far. And in that particular timeline, they pulled this shit already with Miqo'te and roes. The character design choice between the 4 are even exactly the same. The cute Kemonomimi girls and the brick wall built men. It seems square is doomed to repeat history because they didn't learn from it.
I swear to the gods tho if their racial gear turns out to be a male version of Fran' outfit...( I actually hate that outfit you, went viera on my alt and you can actually see her hoochie init)

Hope it's OK I share my darling with y'all. The way I've dealt with the lack of Viera men is to use the Werewolf ears on my beloved Elezun... I mean Elezen! *badum tshhh*
They cover his normal ears unlike the Gold Saucer ones. The Playboy bunny ears look way too fake to me. In the earlier pages of this thread there were people talking about buns with shorter ears. Lion something? So can pretend he's one of those.
I also think the Elezen male is a good starting point (like I suspect they did with the ladies) if they were to give us our bun boys. Seems Yoshi for once actually agrees with me. They live like hunters and nomads, and probably use mostly traps and bows to get meat. I doubt they do any heavy lifting out there in the woods so they'd most likely be built for stealth. They don't have to look realistic of course. We have NIN roes/roegarths, and PLD Lalas after all. It's just my preference.
slowly working my way through the sidequests on my main
in addition to the one with the Watcher theres another sidequest that mentions the Vii population is dying off faster than they're repopulation because the combo of the gender disparity + the flood :c
For those that want to rp a male Viera with a female base, in addition to option 12, 3 is also pretty good for a boyish voice (and the combat isn't grating like some of the other options lol). I haven't really made any progress on my viera yet, but I was happy seeing new shirts that hide busts I could use.
Viera always looked cute, or at least the Feol did. FFXIVs Rending of the Viera is Very accurate if not on Point with the Viera most know today.I'm not talking about the lore in game, I'm talking about the behavioral pattern square has with ff14 thus far. And the Hrothgar are a Beast Race, most Beast Races are usually pretty Burly. What are they suppose to learn from this?.... Its a normal thing.
I like the hrothgar, just a shame that male is the option if you wanna play a bestial feral race.

I personally used voice 12. Nice to know I'm not the only one who thought it could pass as a high pitched male. Interesting to see the Viera numbers being ever so slightly inflated due to people bootlegging their way into bunny boys.slowly working my way through the sidequests on my main

I find it to be pretty counterproductive and a little unsettling, personally. The female model is pretty clearly female no matter how much people try to push for it to be otherwise. It also makes me question what some people are actually pushing for in regards to the aesthetics of the male model itself should it actually be added to the game in the future.
You can still be on board with it, and like the choices they went with.![]()
