Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I'm of the firm belief that a fictional bunny race in a fantasy game is not a correct path to enforce subjective ideals.

Especially when there's people from all sorts of different countries, cultures and backgrounds playing this game.

Respectfully, I think some posters are projecting personal issues onto male viera even though there isn't any viable reason to do so.

Well, men and women have had the exact same fashion in the past (see ancient greece, ppl only wore skirts) and what society considers 'men's' clothes are boring AF, and that's not ok at all imo. Men should be able to dress in something that's as revealing as women, and women should have the option to wear the boring ass 'male' clothes

No, men were dressed for practicality - women were dressed for modesty, barring Sparta. They wore skirts/dresses because it was practical to do so at the time. Also, the trousers weren't invented yet. This became a huge issue when women wanted to dress like men because their clothes were pratical - while females tended not to be. This is an example of practicality. The females who take up the mantle of wood warden look like this;

The male wood wardens are likely to wear something similar.

Just when did I say any of that?
I simply said that to me the female viera's lingerie looked like if beyonce wore some scarlet blade inspired outfit for her VMAs performance, and that I hate how clothes are defined by sex. Exactly what on this means that I wanna use a bunny race to enforce ideals? Also, the only ppl who aren't represented are those who think like myself on this game, due to the various genderlocks, but It isn't a priority for me

Let's also not pretend a toga/robe or attire like a hakama, or kilt is designed like a dress or skirt. The latter are designed with a feminine aesthetic and physique in mind.

I'm pretty sure they will have a build similar to elezen but better, and a facial structure similar to Fran, I guess. What I mean by that is rabbit-like features. So I do think they will be handsome, but not traditionally handsome. They will probably look bishounen. Of course, there will be a few facial options to choose from, and maybe there will be one that looks rugged or something.

So basically, elezen with better proportions and a face with rabbit features (like Fran). Yoshi P did comment that if they made male viera, they may have looked like Elezen with somewhat of a miqo'te type face. They would look handsome, slim, and elegant.

I think if male viera are added, they should be tall, well-built and adhere to conventional standards of male attractiveness.

I think they will be tall. Around the same height as the females.

I really like the idea of the mix of male miqote body with big height. I think it could fit them perfectly.
Concerning the armor... well, the more I think of it the less I care how skimpy it is. I do hope it will reflect the way their living so yeah not a copy paste of female armor. No I would be more picky if it was a job set for exemple where one would be skimpy and the other fully clothed but for racial armor I think everything could be cool as long as it represent male viera.

And about how the male viera should look because of the way they live, we have to also remember the viera we will play are, for most, viera that have chosen to not follow the rules of their tribe and go live in a complete different way. So we can't really justify every design choice by "They are supposed to be dangerous killer" because we are not one of them as a player and they could chose to never show the ones who protect the forest but only the outsiders in game.
BUT I really do hope we will find those defining elements that match with those fierce viera in their design and the different choices we will have in customisation ! It's just we can't be sure they will follow just that unique lore and could chose to design them with the lore of the outsiders, who chose to live among the other races, in mind.

In the end I just hope we will have a good mix in between that will allow us to have very ferocious viera AND more handsome model like.

Of course, I'm expecting the whole 'Beautiful Ice King' trope, basically the same as Ice Queen but for a male. You all know what I'm talking about. The overly perfect looking man who just looks right through you and remains stoic. These guys need resting b*tch face x 100.

Nah man, the NPCs are more than likely still going to have the same values. You might see a male out of there, but I have no doubt they're going to be like this regardless - especially the males. As for physique, I have doubts they're going to make a different body type for male viera NPCs and our male Viera because we might 'not be part of that' of that lifestyle, not without adding a lot of customisation sliders.

Either way we will see. The issue we have with them not releasing them in 5.0 so the lore fits around them being more active and whatnot means that when adding them in we're going to have a lot of retcons. Not that retcons are bad of course. It would be interesting to see a male Viera outside of the wood. But we also can't hinge it all on 'Muh RP'. Heck, we barely see any Male Miqote NPCs as it is.

I mean, they probably will look handsome, just not conventionally so. Just like the female viera are beautiful, even with their rabbit like features (like their nose).
