Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Both races unlocked. Even though I'm going to change Viera because I'm a girl and usually only play female races, I want to see both genders in the game.

I loved the original concept art for male Viera and would love to have female Hrothgar option.

I think it's telling, in more way than one. This isn't just forum regulars or stalkers becoming active, there's a flocking of people to the forums, people bothering to make a forum account, to post and upvote posts about this. It's quite impressive, really.

I'm one of those! I even had to google "how do I select my main for ffxiv forum" in order to show support :-)

Made a forum account just to like and comment on this thread - I would love to see male Viera added to the game. Honestly, it was what I was most excited about for the expansion.

1000% In favor of Male viera AND Female Hrothgar. Not only due to it just being a silly idea to gender lock races (Look at Miqo'te and Rogedyn, They used to be gender locked. Now they aren't, now they're one of the most popular races) But because while I don't like the look of a Male Hrothgar. I'd be open to giving female Hrothgar a shot due to the novelty of it. And as for male Viera? I'd totally be willing to change my main into one. This is coming from a male player playing a male character. Think of the Loony Toons jokes that will open up! Or DRG jokes of bunnies who jump too swiftly and too greedily!

Agreed. Gender lock is very bad in 2019.... I think we are many to be surprised that they made the same mistake... Male viera would be wonderful.
I was surprised for Ronso race ( i prefer Ronso race in FFX) but it's ok i think it would be great to satisfy all gamers. ^^
I was very disapointed when Yoshida say that viera male are rare... we are in FFXIV MMO not in FFXII.... And is not sexist? All gamers should be have the choice in MMO right? And for Ronso race, male and female are always together i believe so it's weird...
For viera male i think it's better to have the same as the female are : high and sexy, like this :
So please, FFXIV team, Yoshida san, make us happy and do a great job as always ^^

Don't limit a player in their way to express themselves by locking them out of a race. I bet a male Viera would be really popular among the players. Look a male Miqo'te, case closed.

Please add male viera as a playable race! I don't think we should have gender lock races. I usually play as a female chracter but my boyfriend was looking forward to playing male viera! Please Yoshi-P!

Please make Male Viera a playable race, same with Female Ronso. It's really unfair to gender lock what so many people want.

Like one of the first posts stated. Game's industry in 2019 needs to be inclusive and gender locking has more cons than pros
