Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

To be honest, this whole thread is highly...unstable. You can look it up, and have a bunch of posts agreeing Omega's body type is perfect, come back 10 pages later, and now something like Gladio is the one people are agreeing on, another 10 later, and we have not-Miqo'te...The only thing that stays consistent is they're tall.

It comes down to wording, I suppose, but there's a difference between saying "I don't like this" and "You're stupid for liking this". The former is fairly harmless, IMO.

Agreed. I'm not insulting anyone for their preferences, I just don't care for such aesthetics myself and if given the choice would pass on them. I've compromised by stating that I'm fine with viera men being designed in such a way as to have an option for an androgynous/feminine face for those who like it. I just don't want that to be the standard design choice for all of their faces.

LOL Even that's not consistent. There are quite a few in here who want them to be as short as the female Au Ra so.. yeah no. No one in this entire thread can agree on anything with these rabbits. It's funny honestly.

Yes, around same height as Elezen men; somewhere around Au Ra or Highlander for the build (although Elezen would not bother me hugely, if they went for that); and a good selection of faces, with handsome and masculine features, and the "softer" option. If you give them a slider that allows quite a wide range for height, like roegadames get and a muscle tone slider, plus fluid animations, I think it'll resolve the majority of disputes over their form. It's more that there's certain red lines where the race would become unplayable, for me, as I assume there are for other people. That will happen whatever SE does, in the end, and I am sure they know it, as it applies to just about every race.

Well thats the nature of being individuals. We all have different views on what we want. Heck ask people that work for SE and they will probably also give differen opinions or variations. Its fine with different views on how they look and its fine to say that you dont like that and would like x instead. But calling something creepy, fetish, and more is just bad. Or mocking certain posters.

When you come to this thread to only make a post about a person then maybe one should stop and think if they would want that to happen to them and maybe not do that.

Lets all just try to be civil without taking someones opinion down or state something as fact that is not there anyway and it should be fine. I think most of us that want male Vieras do not want this thread to be locked.

Again, there was easily way more than one post about it. I\\\\'ve been called many horrible things because I was excited about Hrothgar getting announced and others didn\\\\'t get what they want. So much so that I almost grew to resent the male viera idea itself. So yes, people were rude, inconsiderate, and downright selfish when it happened, even on this thread. It doesn\\\\'t do any good to try and do damage control on it because it\\\\'s all said and done, so there\\\\'s no point trying to cover it up. I still hope for the opposing genders of both races and I\\\\'d make one of each, most likely.

As stated above there\\\\'s a large difference between being angry and being downright hateful. Both sides had negativity, that much is true, but being told that I don\\\\'t matter or my happiness doesn\\\\'t matter because others didn\\\\'t get what they wanted isn\\\\'t okay either. My experiences are my own, just like my opinions. If you don\\\\'t like it, that\\\\'s fine. I\\\\'m still supporting this thread even if my opinions do not match others.

And I understand that and being hateful in any way is bad. Both sides have been throwing fire around and if its too much its probably just better to report them instead of increasing that fire, maybe even with personal attacks. I am just sad that its coming down to just mocking certain posters for opinions they had or because they said something that someone dont like. I do remember a discussion about Hrothgar in this thread but nothing really bad. One said that they want male viera over female Hrothgar, I for example said that I was disappointed in the benchmark for them and wished we would have gotten a whole Viera race instead if they are so limited (and I am someone that wanted a beastial race) and another one that was disappointed in how they turned out. None of those posts said that the other should not be happy for getting Hrothgar, just how they view it. If I missed something than I am sorry. This thread is growing so fast and quite some of those heated discussions got deleted.

If other stuff happens on other threads or other sites than thats bad but not really part of this thread either.

I really like that version of mViera as well. He's still masculine while not being a wall of muscles like Roe or Hroth. And to me at least, I would say that is an elegant face. I could see the mViera in that artwork being a dancer easily.

Also inb4 "Why you hate Roe/Hroth?" I don't. They're both excellent options for people who want that body type for their character. I just don't think that body type suits mViera.

Most of us who are asking for a "buff" build have Au Ra or Highlander in mind, not so much Roe or Hrothgar. It's one of those builds that veers into the "too much bulk" territory for me.
