So, we're back to some people claiming that Hrothgar should not have been made, I see.

Yes, do I have to apologize? In light of the recent news it shows the devs weren't ready to make this beastial race. It's running them overtime and they're still unfinished, which in turn forced them to lock down female Viera hair so it doesn't feel biased.

I mean, I dont wanna be a party pooper but I doubt they'll get different heads. Maybe they'll unlock the current hairstyles or mess arroudn with the face a bit. I'd like a wolf face tho

I wish we could see more as close as 5.1, but if you ask me, I think it's likely we won't get any until 5.4-6.0. I hope they surprise us though

Could it have been handled better? Maybe. Though a bestial race is much more valuable than more of the same. It's something legitimately different and plenty of people are still excited about Hrothgar outside of this thread. I also wonder how many of those claiming that Hrothgar are a mistake actually intended to play one in the first place.

Nobody is saying hrotgar are a mistake. What's a mistake is genderlocked races. If we had gotten full hrotgar, I'd be extremely happy and excited

Yes and yes. If it meant so much for them to add Hrothgar then they should've! That's how much it meant to them, just add full hrothgar. These limitations we're getting are grotesque.

They would have done a whole lot more good if they added Hrothgar for 5.0, customisation/graphics upgrades for 6.0 and then Viera in full for 7.0. The current implementation is a patchy mess and I'm hoping it doesn't derail any potential plans for overarching customisation, graphics and texture upgrades.

tbh I think that this kinda 'forces' them to make male viera and fem hrot on 6.0 if they can, considering they want to keep up the fantasia sales, and I can tell you that 1 week after release neither of the new genders will sell that much. Female viera is too strong and tall for what most straight men typically play, but my guess is that lots of women and gay men will play them, and male hrotgar wont be too popular. I think that male viera, if done right, could be quite popular, kinda like female viera, and if done right, female hrotgar is something we kinda 'need'
