I doubt that SE will leave the crotch so exposed, but other than that, and the fact that I'd like a loincloth, I wouldn't mind at all if male vieras end up looking like this

Surprised this is still going. The dev team has consistently proven they are completely uncomfortable with approaching anything from a non male hetero position.

This will go on until male viera are released lol. Also, the devs might have to make an effort and get out of the comfort zone in their next 2 years, which shouldn't be a problem for mature adults

We can't forget that the concept art Yoshida also said they were still 'too cute' for him. So expect something manlier than the concept art. Which surprises me because I thought the concept art was pretty manly, I wonder how fierce/masculine he wants them?

Could be a reference to the hairstyles or facial features, which you can't make out too well on there. I would have thought, if they're going for the handsome aesthetic, they'd go for faces similar to the Au Ra, just without the scales and horns, with the usual "softer" face option, too.
