I'd be disappointed and it'd diminish my enthusiasm in the game a bit, but not to the extent that I'd stop playing just due to that... although in conjunction with certain other developments, it could lead to it.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
To be honest, while I'm not expecting a straight yes, I'm also sure there wouldn't be a straight no. What I think is most likely is we get a vague non-answer until next Fan Fest. I'm even hoping it gets acknowledged at the next Live Letter, but not expecting it.
If, hypothetically speaking, we got a straight no, I do believe there would be a significant blowback and there would either be a new thread asking for the missing genders every other week, or this thread would remain in at least the first 3 pages. "Are we ever getting male Viera/female Hrothgar?" would be asked at every Q&A until they either gave in (unlikely if it takes after 6.x, given the sheer amount of gear sets) or Yoshi justs starts responding with a very dry (and what would be somewhat rude given my limited understanding of japanese culture) "No." And even if the CMs filter questions, it can still slip through the cracks, let's remember that a few questions have been asked because the attendants lied about what they were going to ask before being given the mic.
Some people would accept a straight no, others wouldn't, and maybe it'd be the final straw for those who already question some of SE's decisions, or maybe it would be a second/third-to-last unless some other thing brings them back to SE's graces (lords know their video for the International Dance Day convinced me to cosplay a Dancer next con).
I'd be very disappointed. The fact that they were able to justify this kind of implementation in the first place was already extremely shocking for me so for them to outright refuse to correct it (even as a pipeline project) would be crushing. They would lose my trust entirely.
I'd keep playing, but I would stop buying additional items or giving them any money outside the mandatory subscription. I want to say I'd eventually get over it, as I have many decisions I don't agree with in other games, but I can't imagine how since I'll be seeing the new races running around and it would just be salt in the wound. I suppose I'd just see how masculine I could get a female viera and play pretend... gotta benchmark that bust slider I guess.
I'd not only be disappointed in the extreme if they said "no", but incredibly confused. That's a lot of money left on the table. Like, so much money the legs are buckling and a disconcerting creaking noise is coming from it. So much money you could probably dive into it if it wasn't bricks of cash stacked extremely high on an unreasonably large table. The people keeping this thread going might be a small bunch, but as I've said before, many people aren't particularly interested or invested in something until they see it--which would drive fantasia sales, particularly if the end result is really good looking. (That's not even considering the people who fantasia like... every month, sometimes more...)
I, too, would be incredibly disinclined to spend any additional money on their product outside from my subscription in the case of something like this--I've said before that I feel just fine not purchasing shadowbringers until and unless we're given a positive answer. (The timeline doesn't matter. We get them in 7.0? That's okay with me. I just want to know!)
But above all else there would be deep, deep confusion. An entire post worth of question marks in confusion. I'm confused most of the time as is, so this would be weapons-grade confusion.
If there's something high I will definitely fall off of it
That's true. My original viera thread didn't get as much support as this one. Where were all these people when my original thread was up? Why are they suddenly showing their support after all this time? Probably because we finally saw the previews for the female viera models, and now they want the males.
Every time I wonder how they can fail to recognize a business opportunity staring them in the face like this I remember how they handle the optional items in the mog station and am reminded that I shouldn't be so surprised.
They're allergic to money. By choice.
If they say no, we will continue as we have until they change their mind. I'm in this for the long haul.I'm curious - what if they literally say no?
I'm aware it's unlikely for a variety of reasons, SE rarely gives an outright negative answer, but if they did definitively say that they weren't adding the other genders would people be able to accept that and move on from it or would threads like these continue forever despite their pointlessness?
To be clear this isn't meant to be shade on this thread or others like it, by all means I hope you guys get what you want (as long as they look like adults) but I'm just curious.

If the answer is a legit no there is nothing one can do, just think the request were made few years ago and re-requested a few months ago, players made fan art, polls, constructive posts in different threads, some including me have been keeping these threads up in hope of one answer if is no from SE personally will have to give up, sorry.
Feel we done everything we could at this point.
Well if you guys want there is still one thing could try, once I get better can go myself to SE headquarters to deliver one hand-writing letter at their reception addressed to the Director and his Devs team on why there are advantages to implement both races counterparts, will even buy some lioness ears and use it so just see the horror face of the receptionist. Promise will record everything (not)
