Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I took a moment to try and make a cuter-looking elezen (since Yoshi said they may make MViera look a bit more like them if they ever do let 'em out of the woods) and it would be entirely possible to make the body a little bit beefier and have it look fine for a number of base heads, it's just... the proportions for that body would need to be fixed hard. I never noticed how outright comically pinheaded and strange elezen were until playing around with the creator more. (Seriously, it's especially noticeable with the round, cute face--the only elezen I've made prior to this have been more on the haughty side.) They're almost... like small-headed aliens. I mean I like elezen but those proportions... It makes you feel like Estinien might beam down an abduct you in your sleep.

Doing more with less is always the best. I worry about how the workload would be even just tweaking the neck/arm lengths and adding a little bit of girth, but it's better than making an entire body from scratch. (Really, that neck is the most egregious thing--it makes the odd head/shoulder ratio all the more obvious. Even just fixing that might make the body look almost totally different...)

Who said that and in what context? There's too much to read. If you're talking about the hrothgar conversation in this thread, it would be fine to tell someone to post in the appropriate thread. I don't know what else you're referring to. If someone is discussing how they do not want male viera in a way that contributes to an actual discussion instead of mocking people, I don't think they should be told to go away, either. Let's do our best to keep it civil. However, disagreeing with someone doesn't mean you're not being civil, just to be clear.

Depends on who's being told honestly and for what reason. If it's someone that is simply in here detracting from the scope of the topic then they either need to reign in their discussion points to that of the scope of the thread or go elsewhere. For example talking about the semantics of the word/phrase "Genderlock" has no value or merit in this thread, as the scope is simply to talk about the addition of m/Viera and to an extent f/Hrothgar due to it being along the same issues as m/Viera. You can also speak against the addition of those as well as long as it's being done in a sensible manner.

And discussion is usually encouraged. Senn as well as others and myself have attempted to reign people in to allow for discussion including stances that are against. But at the same time if they're just attempting to Troll or derail the thread why shouldn't they be asked to leave/stop?

They already gave the Viera females the Elezens rightful rework. Why wouldn't they do the same for the males?

I really hope they do. Have male viera use an elezen base, and fix all the body proportions. I'd be happy. In the meantime, I'll be playing a female viera alt and hope the males come out one day so I can fantasia my main.

I'm assuming that's the way they'll go, I'm just hoping there isn't too much of a workload involved tweaking the skeleton/model considering how unusually elezen are shaped. I'm very interested to see where they'd go with things and how different the form could potentially be with even minor tweaks.

I just noticed that picture has a rabbit tail, which got me wondering. Since the males will probably have a tuft of hair on their chest, maybe they could have rabbit tails, too? Although I really hope there's an option to remove chest hair, or an option to minimize it.
