Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I'd like them to be as Yoshida described. Tall, thin, elegant. They're essentially wood elves. I think they could pull off the Elezen look pretty well. Though I might also be able to compromise if they looked like Au Ra dudes. I don't think I'd want them to be short though. Though they CAN be made to look nice. Maybe they could be the same height as the females.

This again, please remove it, you can't discard that opinion like that, just write something, like this is another popular opinion, or just remove all personal opinions from the OP, I must remember you that those likes are in support of male viera, not Omega M body type. If this continues all the feedback in this thread will be considered ivalid by SE, including the support for male vieras...

i just thought we had a middle ground, but no, it got changed again of course and other people think they know whats the best for others, even tho other opinions seem to be even more popular.
again it seems to be very biased, im very disappointed, maybe it‘s just the swiss in me wanting to give everyone a fair chance

writing just one sided comments like „many of us think this and that“- making it sound way better, implying what most of the people want and only shows what ever fits in their agenda, even tho as i said before, other opinions are just as much desired, if not even more popular, is not right imo

(And i don't understand why it's so problematic to not be so one sided. Are people scared of the other popular artwork designs because of their popularity?)

so better silence people with other opinions by adding texts like „this is also artwork however WE rather want yada yada“(giving them a negative impact) style of comments on them - instead of saying: these are really popular artwork designs among our community, and we gladly share and love them

also including more of each, like it was before. i don't know why it got changed. we have soooooo many beautiful artworks out there. Show SE our passion about male viera!

and to the people saying it just causes just confusion for SE, i even go so far to say the absolute opposite. we show them our passion with the different artworks and different opinions. people get excited for (positive) discussions, we also keep it active and show that we all care and that we all want the same thing , that is „male viera“, even though opinions differ (which is ABSOLUTELY okay - we are all different personalities with different desires and tastes)

in the end we have to accept what SE offers us, it will be their decision on how they should look like and i personally like their imagination going for an elezen, elegant, slim race (slim not meaning absolute no muscles)

i'm just sad and disappointed how one sided the original post feels again...

(Also just fyi, im also for a omega body-type. But IMO they should be around the same height like the females. People that want them smaler just take the height scale all down, so everyone can be happy.)

Aye, just give them a muscle/tone slider that actually shows a difference and I'll be very much happy. As long as they're not having that silly au'ra dimorphism and not looking like bloody shota. I really don't understand why people seem to assume that if you want muscles then you should sod off to another muscular race - like that's the same thing? No, that's like telling everyone who wants to play as an elegant race to play Elezen or if you want to be small, go play a lalafell or a minimum height Miqo'te and just slap bunny ears on them. It's not nice is it?

As an add on, I don't wish male Viera to be full on beefcakes like highlander or roe - I wish them to be athletic and to have a muscle tone. Biceps, a six-pack - something that shows that they've fought every day of their life. Square Enix is known for making males with this sort of body type, most of their male protags and enemies have this similar body type. Not overly developed but you can see the muscular development.

An example regarding muscle development and description; WoL from Mobius is considered tall and 'muscular' - in game he looks like a toned midlander hyur and has that same height. Muscular doesn't always = beefcake. You can see how slender he is even with that muscle development.

I was sad when Square decided to edit his default outfit to be less revealing. It wasn't super revealing from the start. But anyway, I think his body would work well with male Viera. Or something close enough to it. Its just the right amount of muscle and with the right face options I feel like you could still make a beautiful male character with that.

Side note: I know his thighs and arms look really big in this picture, but I think that's mostly the armor plating on them. Remove the plating and he's not really that thick. I think he makes a better middle ground than Omega M. Omega is still too skinny imo.

Also wanted to shout out a thanks to OP for keeping the opening post more neutral on what they should look like.

Honestly, I do have a idea in my head on how they should look like, but I trust the devs to make the best choice. I loved the art of them from art books, which is one reason I got my hopes up in the first place.

That'd be cool, too, but I'd eat Billy's hat (since I lack one) if they ever added such a muscle slider. Really would love it, though, especially if it could also be retrofitted to the old races... it'd probably need a bigger graphics system overhaul to accompany it, however such a thing may be in time for 6.0 anyway.

Well, if you go Viera you'll still lack one! (Kidding! Kidding! Please don't eat ME!)

You recognized me ;ω; There's also a Theodore Altman even though he doesn't play that chara much anymore and yes we're married in-game.
