agree, i don‘t know why but i always imagined them being very tall. would be a bummer for me, if they were smaller than their female counterpart. the slide option would of course be an optimal solutionI hope they're taller than their female counterparts, or at least equal in terms of their height.
It's been proposed numerous times throughout this thread but a good compromise would be to allow their height slider to go above and below what female viera can be in terms of their height. That way those who favour niche aesthetics can embrace that, though those of us who prefer conventional aesthetics can also be happy.

I don't really think so. I think more people in the west (and the east) would prefer a more normal, or athletic bodyshape for males. Like midlanders if they looked better, I know I would. We could all argue about our preferences though! Highlander would probably be a bit bulky for male viera, I think. Elezen with fixed proportions, and a bit of muscle definition would look decent. Female viera just uses midlander body, and midlander body for males would pretty much be elezen with decent proportions. Taller than midlander - as is female viera.Roegadyn and Hrothgar are considered too bulky for a lot of people's tastes, myself included. Personally I'd like something along the lines of Gladio from FFXV, Snow from FFXIII or Basch from FFXII. They're not excessively muscular, they're classically handsome and if you stuck bunny ears on them...they'd be pretty close to what I'd like Viera men to look like.
I'm pretty confident that Highlander men would be one of the most popular race/gender choices - at least on the North American and European servers - if they had actual eyebrows and more handsome facial features. If Viera men end up somewhat close to that ideal, I could see them being a hit rather than a miss.

I mean to be fair male higlander body isnt much bigger than male elezen, so its likely to be arround that as well, probably a mix between elezen higlander and au raI don't really think so. Part of an interview of today about new races and missing genders:
TR: Shadowbringers saw the introduction of two new races, are there any plans in Endwalker to introduce anything new or even additional gender options for the Warrior of the Light and the introduction of armour which isn’t locked to certain gender/races?
Yoshida: “That’s another very direct question you have here… regarding the addition of new playable races, I have explained previously but the development cost is so monstrous that it is probably hard for players to imagine. As such, please understand that there’s no easy way to answer your question with a ‘yes’. As for the remaining elements that you’ll find in Endwalker, be sure to look out for announcements at the Fan Festival in May.”

Hmm... I hope they will add new hairstyles at least.

It's a little sad how he has to twist himself into knots of "I'm not saying yes but I'm also trying really hard not to say no." If they WERE coming in 6.0 I think he'd say something cheekier like "we still haven't revealed everything!" but so far seems he recognizes the support but also recognizes they can't deliver just yet.

The "missing genders" are equal to new races in the development process. They're essentially the same because they require the same amount of work. He's basically saying "Not right now".that‘s the kind of thing that bugs mehe was asked about new races or missing genders. it seems he said no to new races, but hasn‘t said anything about the genders. he just should‘ve said, nope no races or genders this expansion, but he said there is no easy way to say „yes“. what does that mean? no to new races / maybe „yes“ to the missing genders?
makes sense! just seemed abit vague to me, but yeah i think we‘ll see the missing genders 7.0 the earliest as it seems.
