If they add Male Vierra either as a playable race or a unique NPC I hope they're manlets. Smaller than the females. (Like rabbits irl) would be unique and different from all the tall boy, short girl races.

No thanks to that.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
I think big gender dysphormism is jsut bad for races, we got that twice (roegadyn and au ra) I dont want ti to happen for a third time. If males were like, 3-4 cm shorter than females I wouldnt mind, but I wouldnt like more than that. Also I hope male viera wont be more than 4-5 cm taller than females, specially considering their lore I think thatd be too tall for someone silent
I hope that they will maybe awnser it on the 15th, but I have little expectations for any QnA, since I think its gonna be revealed during the first fan fest of 6.0 in the trailer, and officially confirmed playable on the last/ second oneGiven the previous history of other issues/wants that were eventually resolved it seems being vocal is pretty much the only way to get things noticed and fixed around here. It's not a bad thing if people go ask in the twitch chat about male Viera unless they're breaking whatever terms of service twitch has. Still, that doesn't mean anyone on there should expect a live response right on the spot. Remember, Crystal Exarch sandwiches took priority over this topic last time.
I doubt SE would say the Genderlock makes them Unique, they already addressed why they did what they did: to appease 2 crowds of demand. And that this would be their last chance to make new races. As said earlier, Hrothgar as a race (the males anyway) are complete. Sure they will get new face hair combinations, but to expect more than that is just setting oneself up for disappointment. As it stands Horthgar are the most unique character models in game available to players. As frustratingly ridiculous as it sounds SE would probably tout the races limitations as part of it's uniqueness. Same goes for it's gender locked status. However, the gender lock thing can and should be adressed. As i i have said before, i hated the idea of bestial races in FFXIV, as i thought they look ridiculous in game. Everything from their animations, to the fact they are another cat race in the game, to the reused Roegadyn base. In saying that, i still feel that the female gender of the race missing is a serious issue. When they are released, i expect they will have the same issues, face locked hair and limited customization options. All part of their uniqueness...
Viera introduction was a demand a great deal many players have and have had for years now. Said it then, still saying it now, it was a lazy, inept, misguided attempt to please everyone. Obviously it would fail spectacularly. Now with demand at an all time high for that which was left out, even more has been added to the workload.
At this point, i'm just waiting for all hair styles being added to Viera as well as the missing Male gender options. Even if i'll never change my main from Highlander Hyur, i feel it was a huge step back gender locking races. I expect more from SE, i wouldn't have stuck around through 1.0 if i didn't.
Honestly, its fine that they did this, at least now it gives people who wanted other options a chance to play something else, a long time requested legacy race, and a Beast Race based on another race in FF. I wouldn't sit here and call it lazy, inept, or misguided. Botched maybe, because Other genders aside I will support the argument that they could have had more Hair Options and pushed to get Headgear functional. I do at least appreciate that they got most Non-Helmet Head Pieces fitted (Some more then others...) so at least Some Headgear was available instead of flatout None like before.
So now they have the races made, just yeah they need to expand on them and add more options and tweak alot of things. Hairstyles (Already said more are coming, Stay tuned), Headgear, and whatnot.
I would like to think that with the races made as they are, and with additions and fixes coming to them both, they could also apply these things to the Other Genders as they develop them. Y'know assuming or playing with the idea that they are developing the other Gender behind the scenes for a surprise reveal ether later down the line, or for the Next Expansion.
I don't think the difference should be like Au Ra. But female Vierra on max size should be taller than the male on the max size.
And the same for minimum height smallest bun girl still taller than the smallest bun man.
I wouldnt mind that if the difference isnt too high, I think it would also make sense considering what theyre based on. Tbh, this is the least important aspect for me, I just want my male viera qwq
Still wouldn't be for it, although I'd be open to their height slider being wide like the Roegadyn female one and extending below min height Viera females and a bit above max height ones.
The rabbit thing is a bit of a red herring, anyway... they're not the same species in the end, and that size difference is not uniform across subspecies, nor is it because the females are longer, but to accommodate childbirth from my understanding. Either way, it's not something I'd see as necessary to make provide them with a leporine inspiration.

Yeah, that'd be the best compromise.
Agreed. They're also not particularly rabbit like to begin with - only in terms of their ears and noses. Even then, such elements were toned down when compared to the FF12 Viera. The rabbit thing is a bit of a red herring, anyway... they're not the same species in the end, and that size difference is not uniform across subspecies, nor is it because the females are longer, but to accommodate childbirth from my understanding.
