You know what's stupid? That they put themselves in this situation haha. They wouldn't be facing this dilemma if they had just gone with full Viera. But now, they had to make this weird choice that we "needed" an animal race.
So the burden's on them to deliver what the people want, a sizable amount of people. I've never seen anything on the forum get nearly as much support as this subject has.

They didn't put themselves in any situation. The players created a situation on their own to give the impression that its an issue. Its not. They were straight forward from the start of what was happening and what we were getting. Some players are the ones who have tried to make it bigger than it ever was.

The "support" is the same people posting over and over. Its not as massive as folks want to think it is.

I've said it before many times, if he really wanted hrothgar more than anything he should've stuck with that decision. Nothing wrong with full hrothgar, but I'm not sure that would've passed company approval. The marketing department alone would've stopped him from it, as would've some of the other stakeholders like the CEOs and company president.
So he basically went against all the good decisions because he felt we needed another cat race. It's almost funny and completely out of character for him.

If companies work the way you think they do, then of course this got Company Approval, otherwise it literally wouldn't have happened. It couldn't right? Either one race would have happened, or no race would have happened if this were the case. He set up and gave a presentation about it, if he needed some approval you dont think he got, wouldn't he be fired? Idk, I think thats a little silly to me

And the only recycling Ive taken part in is the "Lore" discussion. Or is just posting here considered recycling?

Regardless of your stances, and preference of races, it is clear that most people do not like gender lock races. I hope the consequences of adding gender locked races speak volumes to decision makers. I do not blame the team as a whole. However, I do wish whoever play roles in making decision on races learn from this backlash.

I'm sure they won't be able to add two things at one time anyway. However, I am still ok if they update us on progress, if they decide to add opposite gender, and releasing one at a time.

P.S. I wish they added Viera male but I'm still grateful we have Hrothgar.

This is a good sentiment to have. I would like male viera to be added as well one day, but some people wanted a beast race to be introduced into the game. Hrothgar brought something new to the table and it was good that they were added. Though the head being tied to the hair is a big problem for me so... It makes me question if adding hrothgar when they did was a good decision or not.

No they didn't, they waited 2-3 months before release. Well before would be before their reveal during the time we were asking for Viera.
