I just hope Yoshida doesn't add male Viera with the mentality that male Viera "should be made to fill a niche" (fat, short, bishounen/lgbt, etc) just like female Viera wasn't used to fill a niche. They were just added as Matsuno wanted. So if male Viera does get added I really hope Yoshida doesn't give Matsuno any pre-conditions as to what niche male Viera should fill. It just needs to fill the SAME design female Viera followed: Tall, dark, and attractive.

This is a very important thing that we need to convey to the devs. These are fan favorite races, not something brand new like Au ra.
The miqo'te analogy is the best one to make my statement more solid:

Miqo'te and Hyur connection: When male Miqo'te was conceptualized they modeled them just like Hyur midlanders, it didn't really matter if they were both short/average height. Point being, Male Miqo'te wasn't used to fill any visual niche considering they just look like male Hyur Midlanders with ears.

So male Viera should follow the same design blueprint: Make them tall, strong, handsome like male Elezen but hopefully stronger (have to give it some difference).

I know I'm bringing back the dreaded concept art VS bishounen debate but I just needed to let the devs know where some/a lot of stand as far as the reasons behind designing male Viera. Some/a lot of us that want male Viera want them based on FANSERVICE, we don't want them added to fill a customization niche/crowd: bishounen/lgbt, fat, short. We want what was shown in the Au ra concept art slides, that's how most of us envisioned them, like female Viera but with a lot of muscle and rugged look to them (they're jungle people after all).
