I haven't been keeping up with this thread at all. Have there been any new developments regarding male viera/female hrothgar?

None! However, this is rather early days.

My main point is that BDO has the most customization that I've ever seen. It seems to blow everyone else out of the water. It's a little odd that they can go so in depth with things and yet other companies don't bother. Obviously XIV is too old to get something like that, though. I'm thinking whatever next iteration they have will be more in depth and hopefully not written on spaghetti.

I get that and I agree. I just like there being some restrictions on what options a given race can take, but yes, that aside, BDO does have a much "fresher" look than XIV.

At the same time, they've stated they would probably release quite a different type of MMO to XIV next time round (closer to a MOBA or the like), so in a sense if they don't do it with XIV through some kind of ARR type move, I don't think we'll see it in this type of MMO.
