There is also existing concept art by SE for the males so it’s not true that we’ve never seen any indication from them as to how they might look.

We have concept art and 90% (or more) of the ppl here would be extremely happy with that

As much as I like the concept art, that's just that, one of many concepts sadly. Let's not forget this was also shown as concept at some point:

They might follow the concept they showcased first for male Viera, they might not. I'm just saying that getting too attached to an idea might lead to some disappointment, as concept art is just a rough idea in the midst of many that might or might not be used; might or might not be sligthly or severely modified at the finished concept.

I am not disagreeing with any of you, by the way. Just pointing out a different perspective. Some people think concept art = absolute truth in designing choice, when in reality it is not and can change drastically compared to the finished concept.
