He's just sharing his opinion, much in the same way you make your opinion very clear when people share fanart that isn't to your tastes. I say live and let liveSuch a comment being so highly upvoted has worrying implications for the attitude of many male viera supporters!
It's unfortunate that we didn't get male viera, though we still might see them in the future. Hrothgar may not be to everybody's personal tastes but they add something legitimately new to the game's roster. Plus cats are awesome in general and a lot of people are happy with them.
It's very troubling for people in this thread to treat Hrothgar with such disdain, especially when they lash out whenever people come in and do the same thing towards male viera. It's such a shame you can't see who upvoted a particular post.![]()
There's a pretty big difference between stating that male viera shouldn't look like children and stating that a race already added to the game should never have been added.
Oh, but you've called lots of things children that other users have disagreed with. But I don't see myself convincing you of that. At any rate, calling someone's art abhorrent is still an opinion, so please respect that of others. I would also advise not promoting finding out who liked a particular post, something which could promote harassment and witch hunt attitudes.
This again, eh? I called it abhorrent because it doesn't look appealing to me in any way. It also isn't what viera men are likely to look like, either, since Yoshi-P already ruled out child-like designs for moral and ethical reasons.Oh, but you've called lots of things children that other users have disagreed with. Idly stating that it'd be neat to be able to see who liked a post is hardly equal to promoting a witch hunt given that it's impossible to do as much. I'm sure you're well aware of that, though!
I'm not saying you aren't allowed to dislike what has been posted, you're welcome to that opinion. Just recognize that the user you quoted has an opinion and attitude which are both equal to yours. This again, eh? I called it abhorrent because it doesn't look appealing to me in any way. And of course it isn't equal to promoting a witch hunt! I didn't mean to suggest you would do such a thing, but you might promote that behaviour in others. After all, that's very likely the reason we can't see who likes a post to begin with. Anonymity can be important.
Not only that but going on and saying "...many male supporters..." even though only 10 people liked the post in a thread where the OP has 1.7k likes is quite interesting.
I also believe that they should have done one race and even as someone that love beastly races I do believe that they should have done Viera fully first and maybe the Hrothgar later. Both races are restricted but Hrothgar really is the worst of the two (sadly).

I'd argue Hrothgar is the better of the two. There seems to be more actual custom work put into Hrothgar than viera, convoluted in the fact that hair is tied to face though. Not only that but going on and saying "...many male supporters..." even though only 10 people liked the post in a thread where the OP has 1.7k likes is quite interesting.

personally, Ith in kthat instead of hrotgar we shouldve gotten lupin, nto another kitty race, but they a nice addition
And thats completely fine, since everyone has their tastes. (And in a way its not like our opinion on it would suddenly change the game and Hrothgar is gone) I just can fully understand why some wished that we would have gotten a whole Viera race, since even though Hrothgar do have special faces, they cant change their mane without giving SE real money, have less manes in general and on top of that the problem that the Viera have too which is the headgear. I really hope that they have a better solution for the missing genders..but at the same time I fear that especially the female Hrothgar will too be restricted..which would be a great shame because even though I really want to play as one for a long time (as in beast race) I will not change to something even more restricted than female Vieras.
Of course I will still support the inclusion of both genders with all my heart because even if I dont plan to play it with these restrictions, others might.
The Au Ra concept artworks still make me feel a bit salty..because if the females would have been these sexy demonic looking women (and not the small waifus) I would have never changed from that. I honestly just choose female Viera because they are still in a way different than normal humans (especially the faces), are tall, sexy and especially not dainty in their emotes...having warrior women that are constantly fighting as such small women, who are also emoting like japanese school girls, was one reason why I never completely liked them. The different clans could have been perfect to make a more beastly Xaela and a more waifu Raen. But seemingly that change is only there for midlanders and highlanders. (The only thing I dislike about my change: My collections of extra horns will now be useless v_v)
