    They say you can't tell the difference between them - so they're androgynous until puberty; as you said. Which goes the same for all child races in FF14 - the only difference being hairstyle. If you look at the child models for humans/elves/aura the differences between them are extremely small. You can see this with the alisae and alphy, and in with our own children. A little boy with long hair can pass as a girl and vice versa.

    A great example of this is Myste from the dark knight questline!




    Lore, however, doesn't matter here because of a) fantasy and b) every races/species have outliners.

    There will be small viera, there will be monstrously tall viera, viera females who are flat chested, males that look extremely feminine. Of course, the limitations on the character creator doesn't allow us to have this. So yes, females can be androgynous - there just not going to put the option in for you to be a flat chested, in the middle female. The same goes with every other race. Limitations.
