Hunter-gatherer societies in the real world are rather inapplicable to the circumstances of male Viera, as they are solitary and in environments with much higher protein availability than what is available to such tribes in real life analogues. Although I'm hardly expecting anything like Roegadyn (nor would I desire it), anything between Elezen and Au Ra or Highlander would be fair game.

Going based of their stats and skills in the Tactics series. They were fast, really fast if not the fastest is what I am getting at. And they kept to that lore in the other Final Fantasy games. Such speed requires a good amount of strength too though, not bulky strength but wire like muscles under the flesh, quite similar to many of the apes and their slim appendages.

While that may hold some truth, the lifestyle they lead would cause the muscle to be a little more visible on the upper body. Again, compare their arms to a female highlander at max muscle tone. You can still tell a pretty fair difference. Shooting a bow requires more strength than any other weapon we have in XIV, and given that archery is most viable hunting method, even a female would have noticeable muscle on her from hunting.

Their Legs are generally fine, although there was a thread some time back that brought the proportions of the female models legs into question but I digress.

I'd settle for the same level of bulk that blood elves or night elves have in WoW. I'd strongly prefer something along those lines than Miqo'te 2.0 a some are suggesting.

Maybe - if we are talking about male viera who are living out their lives in the wood and constantly on the hunt, but I don't think female viera are doing that level of hunting. They have athletic tone, without it being overly bulky. Highlander is known as a naturally strong race.

Some posit that the impressive Highlander physique is the fruit of countless generations spent residing in harsh, unforgiving mountain climes, where the air is thin and each day a struggle for survival. Though some discount this theory, none can deny that the physical prowess of the Highlanders greatly outstrips that of their Midlander cousins.

They chose a healthy medium between midlander and highlander, we do not have access to a muscle slider, and female viera would logically look more like this than a max slider highlander in the first place.

Not gonna waste a post, don't have many right now. Female viera live together, male viera live alone and have to do all the hunting themselves.

Not necessarily. The men live largely in complete isolation. The women have the luxury of living in settlements and being able to take turns going out to hunt.

Even so it would still bulk them up. 5 or 6 people hunting for a whole town every day. Imagine how much game that would require each hunter to bring in. I'd picture the system works in a manner that they generally provide for their own hut(the mother feeding her young and herself) first and foremost. Then if someone is injured or too sickly then the whole community catches a little more game each to help them out.

TL;DR comparison: A neighbor that's already at the store and calls to see if you need something like eggs, milk, bread, etc on a bigger scale.

Yeah, this is the major one! A female Viera has the support of her fellow women at home. She can go home to a settlement where everything is shared and supported. She can sleep knowing that there are others out there guarding her, she can eat knowing that fellow hunters have brought back food.

The male does not have this safety net. He is alone. I imagine this is why young males die. 'I'll train you, and then you have to go out and do things yourself where I will watch and not intervene if you mess up.' Most of them do, most of them die.

The structure of their society is that the males are trained and desired to be strong and 'alphas' the women will only accept the strongest. The weak are culled, the strong survive. A weak male will not be allowed to have children.

Mfw Viera is like a case 1 for Incels to scream about 'Stacy' and 'Chad' Viera. I love it. I hope they're Alpha as heck and know it.

Personally I hope the males are taller than the females. In real life I'm quite short, so it would feel strange for me to be taller than the males of my own species in this game lol. Maybe there could be some overlap so it would be possible for a male to be shorter if the female chooses max height. I'd like a min height male to be taller than a min height female though, and the same for the max height sliders.
