Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Female viera, and male hrothgar were added into the game. These are the two most limited races in the game yet. We are missing content we have literally paid money for, or spent time in-game earning. Hrothgar will probably never see the hairstyles, and have a very limited selection as is. Viera are in the same boat, but should plausibly see missing hairstyles, probably will never see helmets - maybe some hats. Male viera was never promised to you, you might want it, but it wasn't promised.

They should focus on finishing each half of the races that were added into the game, before even thinking about spreading their workload and effectively doubling it, in my opinion.

Completely valid opinion, I get your point, but as with practically anything for any human being, I personally hope that they focus on what I personally want, yet I 100% support more options for male hrotgar and female viera. Also, male hrotgar are confirmed to never have any new hairstyles, just more faces perhaps, and female viera will get a few. What we dont know is if the hats will be added or when (though Im very possitive they will, though it might take time).

Right, yet I personally believe that I should be able to get a toy I actually enjoy playing with and then buy the bowtie. Dont get me wrong , i will 100% be extremely happy if we get updates for fem viera and male hrots, but I will ofc prefer male viera first, just like for you its otherwise, and, if we are completely honest, both sides are selfish just like every human being is to some extent

We have Female Viera & Male Hrothgar now, so the devs should give them more attention and Polish them up and expand on them. Once these 2 are in a good place, then the dev team can put more resources on the ""Possible and not Promised"" Male Viera and Female Hrothgar development.

imo, we should get the full thing before polishing it. Id rather see a full on slightly rough statue than a small half wood perfectly carved. Also, they didnt even promsie they were gonna make substantial chanegs to neither male hrotgar nor female viera

Actually, they did. Yoshi P said they would in an interview. He specifically stated that female viera would be looking at getting some of the "legacy" hairstyles. Meanwhile Hrothgar is going to be getting new Hrothgar specific hairstyles and potentially more faces as well. It came from Yoshi P himself, so that's far more substantial proof than the answer he gave for male viera.

Sorry but you see... This right here is being a hypocrite.

Unfinished female Viera and male Hrothgar will lead to unfinished male Viera and female Hrothgar. Thats utterly dissatisfying and will actually damage SE's reputation. Imagine they implement male Viera right now and you are locked out with no head gear at all and also only 3 hairstyles to choose from.
Let alone, they might just copy male Elezen (or Highlanders/Aura/whatever) and slap bunny ears on them. Do you really want something with low effort and rushed, so they fulfill your desire?
No fur, no claws, no different eye shapes/iris, no face features. Nothing special to them. It would be much wiser to let them finish their previous "products" so they actually get more experience and need less time to figure out codings and 3D designing on the missing genders. Male Viera might actually come with headgear options, if they indeed get more budget for the next expansion. More time, more developers. 2 years is a lot of time to figure things out.

People would be just as, if not EVEN MORE upset that they get Male Viera or female Hrothgar and they also have limited options. It would fix 1 issue: Missing Genders. But then it emboldens the other: Lack of Options.

Sadly, yes it is. Why I've blocked them from seeing their silly and drivel filled posts. They want Male Viera, as effeminate and frail as they are apparently, screw the logic, screw what others say, screw the facts. In their eyes, Male Viera will be here in patch 5.1, then changed to 6.0, if not here by 6.0 there will be riots etc. Forget that Viera and Hrothgar need work now, bringing in two more, it should be easy blah blah lol.

The obvious answer, at least to me, is to ask for both: more options for female viera and male hrothgar, and for male viera and female hrothgar to be added in the future.

There are many hairstyles female viera can't use, and it's a shame. Hrothgar hair, too.

I don't think this statement is entirely true. The pictures they've posted of their ideal body type for male viera is quite bulky. At the very least, it seems a little too bulky to me.

From a purely commercial and reputational standpoint, they need to prioritise fixing the new races as already implemented. They still have an air of being rushed about them and they're intended to draw in new players. So, they need to be brought up to the standard of the existing races where they're currently not.

This is a very well thought out post.
You are right. I think these groups are all valid: people who want more customization options for current races, people who want more hair/helmet options for female viera and male hrothgar, and people who want male viera and female hrothgar added in the future.

Personally, the order in which these are added doesn't matter much to me. Although I'm of the mind male viera and female hrothgar should be added sooner rather than later (if the devs decide to add them at all) because new head items will come out over time, which would probably result in a much bigger workload for the devs. The devs would have to adjust many items, like helmets, to fit on male viera and female hrothgar heads. I don't think it would be wise to let this pile up, but honestly, I don't know much about the development process, so what do I know.
