Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

One of my main concerns regarding the lack of male Viera mostly stems from a lore perspective.

According to the lore male Viera exist in the world. What strikes me as the most odd is how the lore depicts them as never seen, however, the same is true of other races, and clans of said races. It is also said that the males return to their villages to mate. Regardless, if a Viera like Fran, or the Viera we see dancing in the recent Shadowbringers trailer can be outside their "safe zone", who's to say that a Male Viera is incapable of doing the same?

Now, if you want my personal opinion on the matter, I wasn't at all angry about the news of this race being gender locked, but I was confused about the decision. I'm not going to say if it was a good idea or not either, but I wonder why they decided to go this route?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a Male Viera as a playable race simply because it feels natural to include it as an option. I just think its odd to have a gender locked race without any specific reason.

While it's cool to have Hrothgar, it stinks leaving out the male Viera due to lore reasons. This game breaks canon all the time, not to mention, it can have its' own canon! It doesn't have to stick to old lore.

I'd rather have no vieras at all than male vieras. Vieras have been a female only race for 16 years now, if you want to ERP as a male there are plenty of races that allow you to.

Also i have no idea why some people call this choice homophobic, feel free to explain if anyone understands.

Genderlocking races is something we should have left behind a long time ago, it's not acceptable in this day and age. SE should really consider removing the genderlocks for both viera and hrothgar, unless they want to come off as conservative and uneducated.

I would love to see playable bunny boys in the game. Even if not available until a later 5.X time, would be super welcomed!

I also do not buy the argument that the lore is the reason the male viera were not included. They made it a point to say male viera do exist. Even female viera basically are never seen because of how rarely they leave the forest, it would make more sense to me to have a male viera venture out into the world than female viera. I've always taken the descriptions of male viera to be basically if you've seen one you are now dead because he killed you on sight. It wouldn't be much of a leap for one male viera to decide that in order to protect the forest he must venture outside. For lore, the warrior of light (darkness) would be that one male viera who left the forest.

So I'm adding my support for male viera and I think the lore supports male viera being included more than the idea that it means male viera shouldn't be included.

I have no intention of playing Viera male or female and I'm a bit worried about how many people would actually play male Viera to make it worth the dev cost, but if enough people would play it, then it should be added.

Just a reminder that Miqo'te were previously the only race unavailable to male characters, and now male Miqo'te are played FAR more than the other previously male-only races: Highlander and Roegadyn.

The devs thought we would rather play Highlanders and Roes than male Miqo'te, and they were wrong. They don't really seem to be in touch with what people want to play, imo.
