It really irks me when people say SE is lazy. They're not. This game existing is proof enough of that. In regards to hairstyles, they already confirmed that Hrothgar will be getting racial specific hairstyles and new faces. Viera will be getting some legacy styles and some new racial styles.

i don't think they're lazy. i think SE is just funneling the money XIV prints into other projects (FF7 remake for example)

After seeing what they put out for Viera for the Krile outfit and Hrothgar's face locked to hair situation I think people are more than within their rights to call things as they are. I for one was personally not happy about the announcement for new "racial" hairstyles when I already owned several that can only be bought with real money or millions of gil.

Saying what I see is not an agenda. It's common sense. Special does not necessarily mean good and in this case is a far cry from complete.

False, they did in fact say new racial hairstyles and faces for Hrothgar. I've linked the interview several times where they've said this.

Thats the exact same thing I said, new faces for male hrotgar and racial onyl hairstyles for female viera though

While any change to Hrothgar is welcome if it improves how limited they are it's clear after reading over those questions again that they didn't have much of a plan except to give a few beastial options at the cost of everything else. That race deserved to be worked on and released in a state far better than what we got.

I feel like, in general, a lot of cosmetic stuff got shafted in ShB: DNC and GNB don't have any primal weapons, even lvl 60 or 70. They don't have Alexander weapons (but DO have Shire) and the fancy new hairstyle introduced for all races is unavailable for Viera/Hrothgar (although Viera has a...SIMILAR hairdo that I used until last week). This along with the limited hairstyles and the hat problem (which, I mean, idek who thought we wouldn't miss the RDM hat. One of THE iconic pieces of headgear in the entire FF series) makes it feel like ShB brought quite a bit of substance (MSQ, Role Quests, Eden and future content) but dropped a little of the style.

I think that with classic wow and how SHB is kinda really bad once u finish MSQ FFXIV should really do everythingt hey can next expac if they want a single chance against WoW

Classic WoW isn't going to hold a large audience for more than 2-3 months, guaranteed; it's a gimmick. Streamers are keeping the sheep occupied for now. I would like to see a massive overhaul to PvP in this game - since I am the core a PvP player, but I never see it happening.

Obviously, it's a management decision to allocate resources to which projects when. Devs are just doing their job; what they are told. I will give the devs themselves props, we got some headgear for viera/hrothgar, because they worked on their own time. They do deserve praise for that. Have said before I don't think it's the devs themselves being "lazy".

Agreed. Still new faces just means more reasons to buy a fantasia, you have to use one to change to these new faces anyway. The viera will be able to switch their hairstyle without having to use a fantasia. Hrothgar still have a huge problem for them.

They probably had too much work on their plate. Did as much as they could while working on other projects. They gave GNB/DNC weapons enough for when they would start leveling - rather than for cosmetics. They made what they had to for those new classes. As for the hairstyle/gear, I am pretty sure that and much of the ShB gear, or rather I have the feeling, was completed prior to the decision to add some headgear for viera, and the hair was probably something similar - something to work on later; potentially a racial variant.

Its not ridicolous. You might not like it, but that dosent mean its objectively bad.

Wow classic isnt gonna hold up for more than 6 months but then Blizzard will eb very close to releasing their next expansion, which if done fine will get back a majority of the wow refugees (which as long as im aware of) make for a decent amount of ffxiv players, and yes, both of the new 'races' (if they can even be called that at this point) are something that shouldnt even have been released until at least 6.0 instead of releasing whatever we got

A departure from the typical wood-dwelling male Viera, these by @noizi on tumblr are in a more civilized setting. I loved the straight long hairstyle that female Vieras have and hopefully the males will get something similar to this one minus the flowers.
