When the game's story becomes self-aware:

Was actually looking for it, thanksJust a reminder that this is still up for those who've not done it.![]()
I think SE Is being quite shady right now. Guess we will have to wait for em to give us a responseWhy should we believe them but not other developers? Why would they get a free pass?
In the past we had more than enough interviews where they said stuff like "no housing timer ever because its outdated" yet a short time later we get them. Or that people should take breaks but only of course if you dont own a house. They are passionate about their project but they are also still part of a huge company and Yoshida is also now part of the board of directors (thus quite high up).
And no I dont say that they lie about anything but I also dont trust them enough anymore after quite a few bits of pure PR talk. Lets not forget that they did only reveal the genderlocks at the last fanfest when preorders were already done. Why not simply tell us the truth when they showed us the female Vieras? Why wait so long and even give no direct answers when people asked them about it in interviews?
Devs are humans too, thus make mistakes. So no I wont believe everything they say, especially since they are not a indie company with barely any budget.
I sit back and read some of this stuff and some people actually believe that this is real stuff like the characters are them.
This is when you need to ask yourselves maybe I am taking this a bit to far.
Do you believe the swords your characters hold can actually cut you? legit question.
Far as I am concerned I am playing a Ra Au fighting the forces of evil in a story created by Square Enix, because I can tell the difference from real and fantasy.
Some people getting upset over pixels why? just curious why
so what if SE decided hey I am going to put male V out but instead made it hairy as hell, the faces look very disgruntle where if you try to customized it to not your liking it wouldn't be good enough for you! so you come back here and again put down the company for trying to make you happy.
I mean people think that male Viera would look exactly like its counter part what if SE was like no they are heavy set, they have actual rabbit nose hairy cheeks what then? all this asking and then you probably won't play it, its not what you asked for but see it is and that's where it all boils down to.
I am not going to attack instead I respect their opinion on not including the race, even the not being able to play as a young character its not a big deal but its not cause of reasons I read by people cause those comments were wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy left field its that times have changed people take things out of context way to serious about stuff this day and age upset to easy plus SE has a point mods would be a huge reason why I would even say no to that.

I'll make this really simple for you - we just want male Viera to be playable and for many of us, preferably along the lines of the concept art. Some people have further motives and I agree some of those were suspect or irrelevant, like the identity politics stuff. SE has now confirmed it is resource limitations which led to the issue, AFTER they decided to add two races in one go, for reasons they outlined, which are not above criticism. There are reasons to think the resource justification they offered is tenuous and not fully above board, but nonetheless they're not immovable on the issue, so we're continuing to request their addition.I sit back and read some of this stuff and some people actually believe that this is real stuff like the characters are them.

Anything surplus to this is besides the point and going down proverbial rabbit holes that are of little relevance to the main point, i.e. we want to see male Viera.
As an aside, as a consumer I am getting little out of either race, because I intend to play neither. Not a slight on SE, but it does marginally reduce the value of their product to me.
This has little to do over anyone getting upset over pixels, although I can guarantee if they stripped away all the graphics in the game, for instance, and turned it into a spreadsheet, people would be pretty aggrieved over pixels. So it's not a great argument, since the visual element of the game plays a big part. And yes, if SE opted for a really bad design that went contrary to all their statements on how they think Viera men would look, as well as earlier concept art, it would warrant a wtf.
The people you describe are a minority amongst those of us requesting mViera, so let's not get lost in that.

Just nod and move on ladies and gents, nod and move on.
Though hilariously enough, I actually dislike ERP - makes me cringe. But I'm not going to throw folk under the bus for liking it. As for being 'Gay' - nah man. I'm a hot-blooded female who just appreciates some good old eye candy. Why can't the female have something to gawk at? But, seriously - even though what I said was me speaking the truth on some things - I do understand where the connection is coming from. A lot of folks want to ERP - good for them. I'm not one of them. I just blooming like Viera and wanted to finally see the males after little old lassy me was sobbing when I didn't see any hunks in FF12. I remember seeing the cinematic. Saw those Viera females and was just 'wow' if the females look like this then the males must look like Michelangelo's David. They didn't look like that, because they didn't chuffing show them! Give me my David bunny boi!
Also snowflake generation! Me? LMAO.

Because we don't exist. Or our opinion doesn't matter. Or because "men don't need to be handsome". Or because "all girls love bulky guys" (I would say what I think about bulky guys in reality but okay). Or because any other #9084684 stereotype.
/sarcasm (I wish...)
