Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Im really sorry you all are saddened about the lack of male Viera. I am too. I was looking forward to seeing something similar to the male concept art in game and was shocked with the release of the new male only race. Let’s hope they see the upset in the community about this and work towards a resolution like they did with male miq’otes and the bunny outfits at some point.

No male Viera and no new healers were real let downs for me with this expansion.

I'm pleased that this thread continues to grow. I really hope that SE gets wind of this and gives it a look. Genderlock races and genderlock classes(from other games) really takes away the freedom of the players. Keep speaking out and don't let this topic rest at all until it is addressed.

I understand they have a somewhat tight development schedule, but they could've released hrothgar in 6.0 or halfway through 5.0... Viera is what we were asking for. Adding a beast race has got to be hell for the animation and inventory/gear design people, a different gender for an already-planned race would still be annoying, but surely a bit less work..

Lack of male Viera and healer were big disappointments for me. I hadn't planned on making/playing a male Viera from the beginning, but having the option for those many who really wanted to be one would've been great. While I can kind of get why they went the route they did, I feel like one fully fleshed out race with both male and female counterparts would've been better.

Make male viera and female hrothgar. This genderlocking is disgraceful right after the limited job and dancer being a ranged dps instead of a healer.

Glad this thread is here and growing.

Players pour a lot of themselves into this game. It was a big and surprising disappointment to those of us who had faith that XIV was better than the old gaming tropes. It was something different that (I thought) both the dev team and player community were proud of and excited about.

The world (both the real one and the in-game one) deserve better than this. We can do better. We must do better.

Let's keep telling them.
