Nice artwork. It's really awesome seeing people draw art of male viera and posting it to this thread. It really keeps up the hype and shows support in a positive way. Speaking of which...
You drew a really awesome viera over omega m. You should post it here too because it looks great.
If anyone else has drawn male viera in the past, or plans on drawing it sometime in the future, feel free to share it in this thread.
I didn't think that would be necessary, but I guess I will.

Does anyone have any new information of Yoshida's reaction about this topic?
Until now, all I know is that he said that Square Enix would be analyzing the public's reaction before making any decision.

Pretty sure that is the last anyone has heard. Otherwise it'd be on the front page of general discussion 3 times over both in favor of and against. They tend to take their time with feedback. We could hear from them in a few days, could be a few months. It's really hard to say.

Still analyzing most likely, again I wouldn't expect a response soon(my pessimism says not to expect one at all honestly). Maybe in a couple of months. They responded rather quickly to feedback on hydatos, but I don't think we'll get a response too soon outside of the interviews he's done.
yeah my biggest concern is the lack of any news. Even a solid "no" would let me start the process of moving on lol but hopefully he mentions it or continues to be asked about it

Well, I've done some fan art of my hypothetical male Viera in the past (way before 4.0, really lol) but I like this one best.

And since we're sharing backstories: I figured Mrjn was the only boy born in his generation, and since they couldn't tell he was one at the time, he lived around the rest of the Viera, making friends, hearing rumors about what was going on outside the Woods and who had left to explore Dalmasca. Sometimes a woman would come back with tales of the Hyur and the scaly Bangaa, and warning against leaving the Wood because of the Empire's approach. The few Viera who had left the Wood and not returned had either joined the Resistance or died, usually after joining the Resistance.
But Mrjn enjoyed spending time with his friends, singing or dancing for them to keep their spirits high, for the Empire had not reached Golmore, and was expected to ignore them. When he turned 13, everyone started to tell that he was a boy, his friends started distancing themselves because they knew he'd soon be taken and they'd never see him again. When the jack arrived and picked him up, Mrjn was devastated, he didn't want to leave his friends behind, his family, but the way of the Wood had him spirited away for training, to guard it against invaders, forever unseen.
It was years until Mrjn was ready, his mentor had taught him everything he needed to survive and left him. The solitude was excruciating and whenever Mrjn tried to head back to his village, the women would shun him over leaving his post, and any male that was around would drag him back with him. Mrjn would still sing, but only for the beasts and birds, he'd dance but there was no one around to see him or accompany him.
So Mrjn decided to do the unthinkable: he left the Wood. He left his territory and wandered into another Male's, who attacked him after realising what Mrjn was doing, accusing him of being a traitor and selfish. And the Viera couldn't prove him wrong: he WAS selfish, and he WAS a traitor; so he ran.
He ran away as fast and far as his long legs could take him, until there were no more trees in sight. Until he reached the city of Lea Monde: always in disguise, afraid of being found out. In his disguise, he went to Thavnair and finally to Eorzea, where Mrjn still covers his head: at the same time longing for companionship, yet afraid of getting too close to anyone, until the day when he sees others like him. Another clan where the Men can come and go from the Wood, who don't shun contact and are always up for a song or dance.

Supporting the Idea of Male Viera and ... lion Ladies. But I won't be quitting if we won't get any. I got disappointed many times in this game but I love it anyway.
My guess is they're waiting and hoping the demand dies down so they can ignore the issue and move on, without saying no and alienating a lot of fans.
They've already decided to never produce male Viera and it will take a big, unrelenting push for them to reverse the decision. The best things advocates can do is to bring it up constantly, until they are forced to respond with a definitive yes. Even if they come with a firm no (which I highly doubt), fans still have power for them to reverse the decision.
It's only when we stop asking for it and pipe down, is when they will feel comfortable enough to ignore us.
