I think this is exactly the problem... Yoshi P came out and said that he will not confirm or deny that we will ever be getting the other genders. It is the state of limbo that I think is irritating people. IMO it would be better to just straight out say they aren't ever going to add male viera/female hrothgar and deal with the backlash than just to never say anything at all..

I mean yes you are correct. Them being blunt about whether or not we’d get them ever would be preferred. I’d fully be okay with it being outright stated that we aren’t going to get them ever because then I don’t have to worry with it anymore. But on the flip side of it I’d still be okay with the confirmation, even with just an image, saying yes we hear you and we are going to give you this. It won’t be right away, but it is coming.

I think that's part of the greater problem with SE's lack of transparency. I've gone off before about how there's no PTR, and many launch issues could be avoided (as well as player lash-back) if we just had more "Hey! Here are the new systems outright for you to play with before they go live!"

Pretty much what it is so far, and a few more things. It's a little more than a fanfest #1 would reveal but they've reduced them to 2 in total, so that was sort of a foregone conclusion in my mind anyway. The first t shirt has me wondering what it could refer to (the no comment with the female on it), but for the second I'm kinda expecting some kind of scythe wielding melee job, perhaps tied to Thavnair, and...

whatever "new weapon" Zenos is picking up.

Healer looks pretty suave.

But nothing that I'd see as "high expectations" so far, even if it's just how much they're revealing in one go - again given that they're doing 2 in total.

They were never going to announce everything in one day. The dream is still alive. There's still another showcase at a later date. Pretty sure they announced new races for Shadowbringers at the 2nd or 3rd Fanfest. What we got was...1 and a half Fanfests worth of information, pretty much. Yoshi P also padded a lot of this showcase time talking about numbers.
