Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

4 faces and 4-5 options for facial features. I'm sure no one has ever thought of choosing the same options as you. In fact, nobody plays Miqote, doesnt it.

As much as my face option is semi-popular, I seen the exactly same looking character maybe twice or thrice in my 5.5 years. Don't doubt they exist somewhere, but I didn't seen them or at least didn't pay attention to them. With our current character creator it's pretty much impossible to create a 100% unique face, so why even bother about it? All characters in one race look more or less similar. All grumpy faces I see tend to use exactly same face options. So I'm not going to cry in despair about the fact somebody has similar or even exact one looking character. I like mine, they like their, we most likely will never even see each other in the game, what's the problem?

Personally, I don't think any of the male characters are feminine at all (aside from lalafell, but they're a category of their own) have you seen any of the male character's biceps?

I don't see anything wrong with male viera having a kpop idol body type or something. You know, I often hear people saying that if we want a softer look for our male characters, we can just use one of the softer face options. Why do we have to be the ones to make do with buff body types/big biceps/etc..., and adjust by adding a softer face? Why don't we have a slimmer race and you guys can adjust the face to look more rugged or whatever for a change?

I don't think you're able to discern how serious a person is taking it through a text. And I'm not interested in being nice to people I'm at most going to share four letters with on a web page.

Eh, don't know why folks are arguing with this guy. The other day he was literally a lala - I remember the brown/gingerish hair - and then possibly something else, only remember the lala to be honest - not like it matters.

So, shrug. Either way. I think something was brought up about the biceps and all that? I actually get pretty irritated when very active protags don't have the physique they should have. Like I get it, fantasy and all that - but it really grinds my gears. Yes, it's immersion-breaking, and it's silly to dislike - but makers breath does it knark me off. Guy wields massive hammer/greatsword - somehow is underweight and has zero muscle development, his arms are twigs. W O T.

With Viera, the idea that they should be soft looking and not have any biceps at all makes me inwardly cringe because it makes zero sense to me on why they should look like that. The only argument for them not being muscular is something in regards to aesthetic. I doubt anyone here can make up a solid argument why a male humanoid who is constantly hunting and on the prowl would be soft in body and not have defined muscles. No, like the only way in my brain for them to be soft looking is if they ate more than they burned off and had a large number of fat reserves.

I'm curious on if anyone can actually come up with a strong argument on why male Viera should be soft looking - as in body, the face doesn't really count since there's multiple and I doubt all of them would be soft looking

Lalafells like Pipin fight, but in reality, someone that small wouldn't have that much strength.

I could go on. It's really all about the aesthetics.

Anyway, we already have a general idea for how male viera will look based on interviews.
I still hope we can get a body type closer to Omega M for male viera.

For females there is one argument is that it takes a lot of effort for a woman to gain defined muscle development without it being part of their genetics. It's why you see a lot of female athletes not be defined, while their male counterparts are. But you can believe that the woman is putting in just as much effort. Sadly this just means women have to put in extra effort to gain those visual results.

Female Au'ra to me shouldn't have looked like that - that sex dimorphism is insane and I don't want to see it repeated. The original concept art for them actually had them be a lot more muscular looking, they looked 'right' when next to their males.

If lalafells don't count, then that same reasoning should be applied to other races. It's just for aesthetics. Real world biology doesn't have to apply.

and yeah, I'm not saying they shouldn't have biceps, but it would be nice if it was a little smaller imo
Omega M is like the ideal male viera body for me. He's still toned and has muscle, but he's slimmer and elegant looking.
