The NPC healer AI will be working overtime, that's true. But SE doesn't particularly need to care about queue times anymore. And they know it.

They will start caring if they don't add a POTD / HOH - esq place for dps for the 70+ range.

I am betting for the queue post rage in the future unless something like above is added.

I saw your sigs just now -- looks great by the way -- and it occurred to me that therein lies your answer. Astrologian is in fact a great healer in its own right... it may not necessarily need any more competition.

My only real disappointment is that I saw DNC as a great opportunity to change up how healing is done in this game. Without knowing anything that has taken place at this fanfest other that what is being said here on the forums, I'm guessing that they at least attempted it during these last couple of years and couldn't make it work. They never obtained the same kind of balance with healers in SB the way they have with the tanks. As much as I love WHM, every time I play SCH or AST I am reminded how far behind it is. To toss in a fourth healer now just isn't plausible. WHM needs a lot of work, and I turn my hopes into this happening in 5.0.

… I did find the small preview of DNC, and over time I've been getting into the DPS role more and more with maxing out NIN, and now working on SAM. As it turns out, I think my love for dancing translated into just wanting Dancer in this game and I am very excited to add it to my DPS repetoire!

I'm so tired of waiting a new class for healers. My RAID group doesn't understand my disappointment, I don't care about dancer going range damage dealer but the healing scene need more options. I'm really thinking about leaving the game for the first time since I played in the beta 2.0 and that hurts a lot.

I'm also very sad that dancer turned out to be a ranged support DPS class. I am still going to play it though oh, it's going to be my main DPS class. Let's just hope they have at least one support healing skill like Red Mage. We really did need a new healer, the other three healers are just getting a bit stale. I've also been waiting 9 years for dancer to be released. It was one of my favorite classes in Final Fantasy 11 oh, I guess I just had too much hope that it would be a main healer. Maybe it will be more like a support healing buffing class like it was in ffxi (at least back when it was released, not sure about right now because I don't play the game anymore).

My theory is that they planned to do one tank, healer and dps, but didn't have enough time for do all 3
(I still don't get why they never have time for anything but then again, I don't make games or know how to make them xD)
